The Best Rent – Lovely one-bedroom apartment in Porta Venezia Overview
First Impressions
The Best Rent – Lovely one-bedroom apartment in Porta Venezia honestly caught me off guard in the best way possible. Walking up to the building on Via Lecco, you’d never guess what’s waiting inside — it’s one of those classic Milanese surprises where the exterior doesn’t give away the charm within. The three-star rating might seem modest, but this apartment punches well above its weight.
Location & Neighborhood
Porta Venezia is where Milan gets interesting — you’re close enough to Centrale station that dragging luggage isn’t a nightmare, but far enough into the neighborhood to feel like you’re actually living here. The tree-lined streets around Via Lecco have this lived-in quality that I love, with corner cafés where locals actually drink their morning espresso and small shops that aren’t trying to sell you overpriced souvenirs. You know what’s great? You can walk to the Quadrilatero della Moda if you’re feeling fancy, or just wander through the nearby parks when the city gets overwhelming.
The Space
The room layout makes perfect sense — whoever designed this actually thought about how people live, not just how spaces look in photos. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the market down the street and cook something simple. I mean, after a few days of restaurant meals, sometimes you just want to make pasta at home, right? The bedroom feels separate enough from the living area that it doesn’t feel like you’re camping in a studio.
Practical Matters
Here’s what I appreciated — the Wi-Fi actually works (you’d be surprised how often this isn’t the case), and the shower has decent water pressure. The building itself is quiet, which matters when you’re trying to recover from jet lag or just need a proper night’s sleep. There’s a small balcony that overlooks the courtyard, and while it’s not going to win any scenic view awards, it’s nice to have that bit of outdoor space for your morning coffee.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the most Instagram-worthy place you’ll ever stay, but it does something more valuable — it gives you a real sense of what living in Milan might actually feel like. The 8.2 rating makes sense because it delivers on the basics really well without trying to be something it’s not. You’re getting genuine neighborhood life, reasonable value for money, and the kind of comfort that makes you want to extend your stay by a few days just to see what else you can discover in Porta Venezia.

Reviews of The Best Rent – Lovely one-bedroom apartment in Porta Venezia
Superb – Iuliia from Russia – 4 December 2025 (9/10)
The apartment is spaсious and very warm inside, which is really important in this time of the year. All the necessary equipment in the kitchen and bathroom were inside. Good Nespresso Coffee machine with plenty of capsules. Also, a welcome kit with some olive oil, salt pepper, tea and sugar. The location is perfect – close to Centrale, the city center, Corso Buenos Aires with lots of supermarkets and shops and also within easy rich to Giardini Indro Monatnelli. I really love this district. The apartment has a french window with a balcony to Via Lecco from the sogiorno and 2 french windows from the kitchen and bedroom to the nice and very Milano-like patio. Be ready for a quite an active night life at Via Lecco, still it is not noisy in the bedroom which faces the patio. Communication with the staff is prompt and client -oriented. I was allowed to check-in around 11 am which was very convenient.
What could be improved: All is fine.Very good – Ekaterina from Spain – 29 June 2025 (8/10)
The apartment is well-managed: when we had questions they were solved very quickly. It's clean and has all you need for a stay. And it had an air conditioner that was very important with the heat outside.
What could be improved: We've just got into the period of coming pride parade and therefore it was quite noisy at nights right under the windows from one side till 3-4am, and it was a reconstruction of the inner yard, so the drill started sharply at 8am every morning exactly to our wall from the other side, so we couldn't open the windows at all. But it's the circumstances, the apartment itself is good and comfortable for a small family.Perfect place, highly recommend – רשל from Israel – 10 October 2024 (10/10)
Very clean, excellent location, beautiful and spacious apartment, I arrived at midnight and it was very easy to get in, it is important to have internet, lovely hosts, we lacked soap and they made sure to bring it to us the same day
Very good – Bruno from Italy – 14 September 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: not really flexible check-in time. Complicated smart-lock.
Poor – Kostadin from Bulgaria – 7 March 2024 (3/10)
Very clean apartment.
What could be improved: Contactless check-in. The router should reboot every 30-40 minutes. When there is no internet, the door lock does not work. A 12-digit code must be entered each time. Extremely inconvenient if you forget your keys and the internet has stopped. Uncomfortable beds and sofa.I have never been so dissatisfied with the apartment I booked in any city or country. – Mariam from Georgia – 19 February 2024 (6/10)
I liked location
What could be improved: The apartment had to be cleaned, I had to clean everything and wash the dishes. The beds are not very comfortable, this apartment is designed for 2 people, not 4.The owner of the apartment returned the money for the cleaning, but I lost several hours. wi-fi bedIdéal pour un séjour entre amis – Malo from France – 4 November 2023 (9/10)
L’emplacement et l’espace dans l’appartement
La propreté
What could be improved: Les horaires de check-in et check out sont un peu tardifs/tôtVery good – Éva from Hungary – 23 August 2023 (8/10)
Tágas, nagy lakás. 5-en szálltunk meg, egy kicsi babával, teljesen kényelmesen, bőven elfértünk. Korrekt ár. A problémákat a szállás közvetítő igyekezett a lehető legjobban megoldani.
What could be improved: Egy darab klíma erre a nagy lakásra nem elég. Meleg volt.
A padló koszos volt, biztosan nem volt korábban felmosva, de a szállásadóval rendeztük a problémát, és visszatérítették számunkra még a kijelentkezés előtt a takarítás díját, ami rendkívül korrekt.Superb – Loni from Isle of Man – 21 April 2023 (9/10)
Very good location. Close to the park for our children and close to the metro. Felt very safe in the building.
What could be improved: A little bit noisy in the living room some evenings from the bar below but not too bad.I do not recommend in winter and with a small child – Popescu from Romania – 28 January 2023 (3/10)
Wifi Speed
What could be improved: Dirty walls, dust and dirt on the floor, the dressing door is falling in the bedroom… but I overlook that.
When I arrived, it was 21 degrees in the apartment and 2 degrees outside, so I asked someone to come and check the thermostat, which is blocked and you can't set it .The big problem was that I was with A 4-YEAR-OLD CHILD and I don't keep my child in the cold because that's what they want.
And during the day, the heating doesn't even start for a few hours, they set a few hours to start the central heating even if it's 10 degrees in the house…
So I found out that the central heating starts when it is 20.7 in the house and stops at 21.7…22 degrees Celsius
I'm not that interested in renovating or something. Sin…
The only good thing … the wifi works very well
