The elevator ride up builds anticipation, and when those doors open, you’re greeted by something that’s part boutique hotel, part design studio.

What strikes you immediately is how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. The owners clearly have an eye for design (hence the name), but it never feels pretentious or over-styled. Each room has its own personality — some lean more industrial with exposed elements, others feel warmer with carefully chosen textiles and lighting. I mean, you can tell someone actually lived in this space and understood what travelers really need, not just what looks good in photos.

Here’s what I love about the Sempione area — you’re close enough to the action but far enough to actually sleep at night. The Porta Garibaldi train station is walkable, which makes getting to and from the airports surprisingly easy. Plus, you’ve got Brera and the Navigli within reach, but you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds right outside your door. There’s a decent restaurant scene in the neighborhood too, with some solid local spots that haven’t made it onto every travel blog yet.

Practical Stuff That Actually Matters

The hosts really get it when it comes to the details. Wi-Fi that actually works (you know how rare that can be), air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train, and they’re genuinely helpful with recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. Parking can be tricky in this part of Milan, but they’ll point you toward the best options nearby. The building itself is secure, which gives you that peace of mind when you’re out exploring the city.

  Wir haben super spontan gebucht (morgens für den gleichen Tag) und es hat alles super geklappt. Der Checkin war kontaktlos, aber mit einer tollen Begleitung (per Mail und Bildern), es war alles toll beschrieben und man hat sich super zurecht gefunden.
  
  Der Supermarkt ist 2 min zu Fuß entfernt, die U-Bahn M Gerusalemme auch nur 2 min und das Parkhaus "Parcheggio Buzzi" (2025 – 20€ pro Tag) auch 2 min. Die Straße vor der Tür ist recht ruhig und 2x die Woche ist Markt. Also die Lage ist super.
  
  Die Ferienwohnung ist super modern und liebevoll eingerichtet, es gibt Klimaanlage, 2 Schlafzimmer und 3 Bäder. Es ist ausreichend Platz für 5 Personen. Es gibt genügend Besteck und Geschirr, so dass man nicht nach jeder Mahlzeit die Spülmaschine anmachen muss. Die Ausstattung ist super. Einfach eine tolle Ferienwohnung in Mailand, von der man alles toll erkunden kann.

  Très bel appartement, spacieux, très propre, très bien équipé, très calme, à proximité d’une station de métro. Tout à été parfait depuis la réservation (vous recevez rapidement un message avec tous les détails du séjour et êtes bien suivis ensuite) jusqu’au départ (facilité par la boite à clés).
  La climatisation est appréciable et le confort de la literie et des équipements excellents.

However, there is a lot of detailed information provided about the apartment, which can be hard to read through if you are on the road.
