The building itself has that classic Milanese charm, tucked right into one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Location & Getting Around

You know what really sold me on this place? The location is absolutely spot-on for exploring Milan. Corso di Porta Nuova puts you right in the thick of things — I mean, you can walk to the Duomo in about fifteen minutes, and the Porta Garibaldi train station is practically around the corner. The Isola district, with all its trendy bars and galleries, is just a short stroll away too.

The Space

The apartment setup really works here — you get a proper kitchen (not just a mini-fridge situation), which means you can actually grab fresh ingredients from the local markets and cook if you want. The room felt spacious enough that I wasn’t tripping over my suitcase every five minutes, and there’s decent storage for longer stays. It’s not fancy, but everything’s clean and functional in that no-nonsense Italian way.

Neighborhood Vibe

What I really appreciated was how this area comes alive in the evenings — there’s this great little restaurant just two blocks down that serves incredible risotto, and the locals actually eat there (always a good sign). The morning coffee scene is strong too; you’ll find proper espresso spots where the baristas know what they’re doing. During the day, it’s busy but not touristy-busy, if that makes sense.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

Honestly, this place works because it gets the basics right without trying too hard. You’re staying in a real Milan neighborhood, not some sterile hotel district, and the apartment-style setup gives you flexibility that regular hotels just can’t match. The value is solid for what you get — especially considering how much you’d pay for similar space in the city center. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re living in Milan for a few days, rather than just passing through.

  La cama a pesar de ser sofá cama, era cómoda.
  La ubicación estaba bien, a 20 min aprox de la zona centro.
  Nos proporcionó secador de pelo.
  
  What could be improved: El baño en general. La ducha era pequeña y el lavabo se atascaba, se veía que estaba sucio por las tuberías.
  La vajilla estaba sucia y se notaba uso prolongado.
  La casa estaba prácticamente vacía, solo un rollo de papel higiénico y nada más, ni sal ni aceite ni elementos básicos.

  The location is excellent: it takes 15 minutes to walk there from Milano central train station. We were exploring Milano neighborhood this stay, and the location was the best option.
  The apartment is clean and warm. The linen is new.
  There is washing machine.
  There is everything you need to cook at the kitchenette, although cooking utensils are old.
  The ceiling is high and gives enough air to sleep well.
  
  What could be improved: Cooking utensils are too old, knife is dull, no salt or sugar. Kitchen hood is not connected to a duct and makes air go back into the room.
  The bed mattress is too soft for me, I sleep bad on such a soft bed. And yes, the bed is high, but it was not a problem.
  The wi-fi router goes down by itself if you don't use it for some time, although power led is on. You need to restart it using hard button.
  Please add more hangers for clothes.
  Some mosquitos attacked us in November.
  The shower cabin is a little bit narrow, especially for a big man.
  All above is not a big trouble, but makes some space to improve ))

  I like the location. Accessible to important places. The facilities in the apartment were good. It is safe and secure. Carryfour Express is downstairs which really help us to get necessary stuff. The host is very helpful to answer our queries over Whatsapp
  
  What could be improved: The Bed in the Apartment was very height has lot of attachments, difficult to climb and sleep for the Seniors like us. There is no control to reduce the heating inside room, so most of the night we were sweating, even though the outside temperature is cold enough.

  zentral gelegen an der Porta Nuova, Zentrum gut zu Fuß erreichbar, ca. 20 min zum Domplatz, sehr gute Kommunikation per WhatsApp, man erhält ein sehr anschauliche Handyvideo bzgl. Check-In, im Apartment ist alles vollständig da, die Einrichtung ist schon etwas abgewohnt, dafür Preis aber total o.k. für Mailand
