You know what I love about this area? It’s where actual Milanese people live, not just where they work or shop. Milan‘s city center is maybe 15 minutes away by metro, but you’re surrounded by local cafés and that authentic neighborhood vibe that’s getting harder to find. The Porta Vittoria district has this lived-in charm — tree-lined streets, morning joggers, the kind of place where you can grab fresh bread from the corner bakery.

The Apartment

The apartment itself surprised me with how thoughtfully designed it was. I mean, it’s not huge, but every inch feels intentional — there’s actually a proper kitchen where you can cook real meals, not just reheat leftovers. The living space flows naturally, and the bedroom feels separate enough that you’re not constantly staring at your suitcase while trying to relax on the couch.

Daily Comforts

What struck me most was how the 9.6 rating actually makes sense when you’re staying here. Little things work seamlessly — the Wi-Fi doesn’t drop out during video calls, the shower has proper pressure, and there’s enough parking nearby that you’re not circling the block forever if you’ve got a rental car. The hosts clearly understand what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos.

After spending several days here, I get why this place consistently scores so high with visitors. It’s that rare combination of feeling like a real Milan experience while still being comfortable enough for travelers who want their own space. You can walk to the Navigli area for dinner, hop on public transport to the Duomo, but come back to a quiet street where you’ll actually get some sleep. Plus, having your own kitchen means you can hit the local markets and cook — something you miss when you’re stuck with hotel breakfast every morning.

  I had a fantastic stay at the Umbria 60 in Milan. It was absolutely perfect—clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. The location was convenient, and everything exceeded my expectations. The apartment was wonderful overall, though the walls were a bit thin—I could occasionally hear neighbors. It didn’t bother me much, but light sleepers might want to keep that in mind. I will def come back! Also, trolleybuses, trams, and buses are all close by, and if you enjoy walking, it's perfect for you. Linate Airport is super convenien, which is great if you're traveling elsewhere. I was super happy and would definitely stay here again!

  The place is super spacious, and well equipped, it even had a first aid kit. We were 5 people and we were so comfortable! We really enjoyed staying there, plus the hosts were so helpful and kind! They gave us a lot really great tips and recommendations and were available whenever we needed. It’s rare to find people who care so much about their guests. The apartment is in a nice area, not so far from the city center and well connected, there’s a great place to eat just next door and a few supermarkets near. 100% recommended! Will definitely come back.

  The cleanliness of the flat was exceptional, we would like to know who cleans that apartment and whether they'd be willing to travel 😉 But jokes aside, great value for money, good connection to the center via the tram and other public transport, the description and the guide were on point, everything was great.
