PrimoPiano – Via Pavia Overview

First Impressions

Walking into PrimoPiano – Via Pavia, you immediately get that this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s actually more like staying in someone’s really well-designed apartment building — which, honestly, is exactly what makes it work so well in Milan. The entrance feels residential rather than corporate, and there’s something refreshing about that when you’re tired from traveling.

The Navigli Advantage

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re right in Navigli, but on a quiet side street that locals actually use. Via Pavia isn’t one of those tourist traps where every other storefront is selling overpriced gelato. Instead, you’ll find genuine neighborhood spots and that authentic Milan vibe that’s getting harder to find in the city center. The canals are literally a few minutes’ walk, but you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds right outside your window.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in felt more like a well-appointed studio than a standard hotel space. There’s actual personality here — the design choices feel intentional rather than just “let’s make it look expensive.” What really impressed me was the attention to practical details. Good lighting where you need it, enough outlets, and storage that actually makes sense for how people travel these days.

Neighborhood Discoveries

You know what’s great about staying here? The morning walk to grab coffee becomes this little adventure through residential Milan. There’s a restaurant around the corner that I stumbled across — completely local, no English menu, exactly the kind of place you hope to find. The four-star rating feels right because everything works well without feeling overly polished or stuffy.

Why Guests Love It

This place gets it right because it doesn’t try too hard. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you experience how everything just flows naturally — from checking in to exploring the neighborhood. It’s Milan accommodation that feels like you’re actually living in the city rather than just visiting it, which is honestly what most travelers are looking for these days, even if they don’t realize it.

Reviews of PrimoPiano – Via Pavia

  • Superb – Haikal from United Kingdom – 13 August 2025 (9/10)

The property was spacious & clean with everything we needed available. It is exactly how it looks in the pictures shown. It is right in the heart of Navigli, close to public transport which takes us 15mins to get to the main attractions!

  • Exceptional – Sanna from Finland – 28 March 2025 (10/10)

Beautiful space, clean and cozy! Easy to get to the center/Duomo by tram.

What could be improved: Nothing that we didn't like 🙂

  • Superb – Behrooz from Germany – 28 December 2024 (9/10)

The property was well equipped and clean. The instructions were clear and the supporting was very good. Location was complete near the central and by foot or a short trip by public transport you can be in the attractive place.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Excellent property. We would definitely recommend the property. 10/10 – Kelly from United Kingdom – 26 November 2024 (10/10)

Lovely apartment. Very clean and had everything we needed. Excellent location to shops, bars and very easy to get to the tram and metro. Lovely little coffee shop around the corner too!

What could be improved: We liked everything!

  • Superb – Umer from Netherlands – 20 October 2024 (9/10)

    Very spacious and great area.

  • Enjoyed the property and our time in Milan. – Dan from United States – 14 October 2024 (9/10)

Good location; easy to find. We were busy in Milan so didn’t spend a lot of time in the apartment; so didn’t use the kitchen for cooking.
Was nice to have a washing machine to use.

What could be improved: Was expecting a Nespresso type coffee maker, but was able to figure out the Italian version.

  • We had a very enjoyable stay but a thurd night would have been better for us as there is a lot to see and enjiy in Milan – Brendan from Australia – 23 September 2024 (8/10)

It was well appointed and the location was excellent being generally walking distance to city central and the canals and access to tram if not wanting to walk too far.

What could be improved: The second shower bath did not seal properly.
I would have enjoyed being able to read some magazines or books in English.
I had trouble with TV reception.

  • Comfortable in a good location. – Stewart from Australia – 23 July 2024 (8/10)

Elegant building, underground secure parking much appreciated. Apartment is comfortable with effective air conditioning. Very fast internet. Entry instructions are a bit complicated with warnings about inadvertently setting off the condominium alarms (!) but we worked everything out. Location is good – walking distance to the Navigli area with lots of bars and restaurants, and the tram to the city centre runs up the adjacent main road (you can do a touchless pay with your credit card on the tram).

What could be improved: The apartment could do with a bit of renovation, especially in the shower, but it was still OK.

  • Super! – Aleksa from Serbia – 28 June 2024 (9/10)

Apartment is very practical, clean and spacious. Good value for money, especially if you are travelling in group. Garage is very convenient.

What could be improved: Shower and area around needs a bit of refurbishment but still functional.

  • Perfect! Thank you – Meirwen from United Kingdom – 8 June 2024 (9/10)

Beautiful interior! So spacious! We loved the style, space and location. It was very clean with convenient storage and mirrors.

What could be improved: Shame the climbing plants had died on the lovely outdoor balcony!
