The canal-side location puts you within walking distance of dozens of aperitivo spots, vintage shops, and those little trattorias that locals actually frequent. What’s brilliant is that you can step out your front door and immediately be part of the evening passeggiata along the water, but retreat upstairs when the nightlife gets too intense — which it definitely does on weekends.

The Room

My room overlooked the canal, and honestly, watching the morning joggers and evening crowds from the window never got old. The eco-friendly touches are thoughtful rather than performative — think sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems that don’t compromise comfort. The beds are properly comfortable (not just Instagram-pretty), and the bathrooms have that satisfying combination of good water pressure and quality amenities that you actually want to use.

Food and Neighborhood Eats

While the hotel has a restaurant, the real magic happens when you venture out into the Navigli district. You’re literally surrounded by some of Milan’s best dining options — from traditional Lombard cuisine to trendy fusion spots. The hotel staff actually knows which places are worth your time versus the tourist traps, which saved me from several mediocre meals. During aperitivo hour, the canal comes alive with a scene that’s quintessentially Milanese.

The 8.8 rating makes sense once you experience how seamlessly this place integrates into Milan’s social fabric. You’re not staying in some isolated hotel bubble — you’re living temporarily in one of the city’s most authentic neighborhoods. Plus, getting to the Duomo or other central attractions is straightforward via metro, but you’ll probably find yourself spending most evenings right here in the Navigli anyway.

  Good value hotel- it's nice, clean, and well located. But it's not "amazing".

  We stayed at the hotel two days after our wedding, to relax and unwind. We really enjoyed the hotel's quietness and the staff kindness. The room we were in was very spacious and well equipped. We used the hotel SPA and it was great!
