Vespri Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Vespri Apartments sits on a quiet residential street in Milan that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos, yet you’re still well-connected to everything that matters. The building itself has that understated Italian charm — nothing flashy, but there’s something appealing about the way it blends into the neighborhood. When I first walked up, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place, but sometimes those assumptions get pleasantly overturned.
The Space
What immediately struck me about my apartment was how much breathing room there actually was. These aren’t cramped hotel boxes — you get proper living space with a separate seating area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The kitchen setup is genuinely functional too, with enough counter space and appliances that you could actually cook a decent meal if you wanted to skip the restaurant scene for a night. I mean, the kitchenware isn’t going to win design awards, but everything works as it should.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciated about the Via Vespri Siciliani location — you’re in a proper Milanese neighborhood where people actually live, not some tourist bubble. There’s a solid metro connection that gets you to the Duomo in about twenty minutes, but honestly, I found myself enjoying the tram rides more. The area has those everyday Italian touches you don’t get in the city center — the local bakery where the staff remembers your order, small groceries that close for lunch, that sort of thing.
Practical Considerations
The staff approach feels more like helpful neighbors than formal hotel service, which works perfectly for this kind of setup. They’ll sort out any issues without making a big production of it. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of Milan — like most residential areas — but they’ll point you toward the best options nearby. The building’s quiet enough that you’ll actually sleep well, which isn’t always guaranteed in a city this size.
Why Guests Love It
What Vespri Apartments gets right is giving you space to settle in without paying premium prices for location bragging rights. You’re not staying here for marble lobbies or concierge services — you’re here because you want a comfortable base that feels more like temporary living than hotel hopping. The 8.1 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re actually getting for the price point. It’s the kind of place that works especially well if you’re planning to explore Milan properly rather than just tick off the major sights.

Reviews of Vespri Apartments
The vespri red room – Dorrance from United States – 27 August 2025 (9/10)
Everything I needed was there. I felt completely safe in the area. The air conditioning was highly appreciated with the extreme heat in Milan. I truly felt right at home. There are grocery stores on the blocks front and back making shipping to cook very easy. Aldi and ilgigantic. I would absolutely stay again.
What could be improved: The red room which I stayed in was on the 3rd floor without a lift. A bit rough for a lady my age but I just rested on each landing and it was fine.Clean property, extremely helpful host. – Diddle from Ireland – 9 June 2025 (8/10)
Very clean, landlord was extremely helpful with any questions I had.
What could be improved: A little out of the center of MilanAffordable and decent place to stay in a good location – Nnenna from United Kingdom – 7 May 2025 (7/10)
The location and it was clean!. It had almost all I wanted.
What could be improved: The bed is not comfortable. I had to switch positions in order to get a good sleep.Good – Marina from Ukraine – 17 April 2025 (8/10)
Great location, nice host
Property is quite small but convenient for one person.Good – Yara from Belgium – 17 March 2025 (7/10)
-Close to public transportation (tram, bus, metro -> 5 min walk max.
-There was a very convenient closet where we could hang our clothes and stores our things.
What could be improved: -The sofa bed was not comfortable, the mattress had a dent in it. We had to sleep the other way around to be comfortable.
-Not enough space in the bathroom to put our things and hang our towels. I would suggest adding a small drawer or a plank under the sink since there’s nothing there.Excellent and had everything needed to live and be able to work remotely – Victoria from United Kingdom – 26 January 2025 (8/10)
Very convenient studio apartment and everything needed for a months stay on a budget. Great for working remotely and close the M4 and an Aldi and Pam.
What could be improved: Smell from the pipes in the bathroom but very minor issue. The sofa bed was okay for a sofa bed. Note for others, there is no lift in the building.Very cozy apartment – Michaela from Czech Republic – 18 August 2024 (8/10)
We had self-check-in, and the communication regarding that was excellent.
The apartment was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed, including kitchenware, a washing machine, dishwasher and even items for ironing, very convenient. They also left little bags with salt, pepper, and olive oil for us, which we used since we cooked a few times.
Additionally, shops and the tram/bus station were very close by, and the area was calm and quiet.
What could be improved: It was a bit farther from the center, so we had to take buses every day.
One time the power went out because we plugged in too many appliances, but we received a quick response on how to turn it back on.
Also it was a bit pricey, but I guess that's common everywhere in Milan.Superb – Ravi from India – 1 May 2023 (9/10)
Apartment was good just add kettle for hot water. That would be great
Very good – Ivana from Croatia – 16 April 2023 (8/10)
Apartment is located in quiet neighborhood and is close to the stores, train and metro line (10-15min) that goes to the center. City center is not that far from the apartment and we walked almost every day (30-40min). Apartment features all the kitchenware you'll need, TV, big closet and bathroom. Everything is clean and you'll get small new shampoos. Also, host was extremely nice and even send video of how to enter the building.
What could be improved: Bed was uncomfortable (kind of sunked) but after changing sides (pillows to the leg side) we were able to sleep well.Very good – Patrycja from Poland – 30 March 2023 (8/10)
For us it was a good location – 2 min to the bus which stops in the central parts eg next to the Sforza Castle and Pinacoteca di Brera. 20 min to subway and 15-20 min walk to the district with many nice restaurants – Navigli. We did not meet the host but he was very responsive. The apartment had clean towels, big wardrobe, iron, and the barthroom was clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: The dishes were dirty and there was no sponge or detergent for the dishwasher to wash it. If you plan on spending much time in the apartment it is not perfect as it is quite small.
