The Accommodation

My room was basically a compact studio setup, which makes sense given the building’s residential feel. The space is clean and functional, though don’t expect anything fancy — we’re talking IKEA-meets-Italian-efficiency here. What I appreciated was the little kitchenette area with a proper fridge and basic cooking setup. After spending days walking around Milan, being able to grab groceries and make a simple breakfast was actually pretty nice.

WiFi worked fine throughout my stay, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in older Milanese buildings. One thing to note: the building doesn’t have its own parking, so if you’re driving, you’ll be hunting for street spots or using nearby paid lots. Most people are here via public transport anyway, so it’s not a dealbreaker.

  The host sent 2 very helpful videos of the location of the dropbox and how to get into the building. This was very useful as there were about 20 drop boxes in the immediate vicinity.

  The apartment was a great location with Navigli bars & restaurants a minute walk away yet unable to hear outdoor noise. Bed was surprisingly comfy. Host was very friendly, instructions for self check in were clear and easy to understand which made check in very easy and stress free.

  The location was great. Navigli is a fabulous area. Lots of restaurants and the choices of small supermarkets close by. We walked into the Duomo area in about half an hour.
  
  What could be improved: I messaged to ask for a kettle as it stated there was one. Didn't get a message back. It seemed like once they had our money that was enough. The crockery was bad. The air-conditioning didn't heat.
