VivimiHome – Duomo Cioffi House Residence Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to VivimiHome – Duomo Cioffi House Residence on Via Francesco Sforza, you’ll notice it sits perfectly between residential charm and central accessibility. This four-star residence-style hotel has that understated elegance that Milan does so well — nothing flashy, just quality details that catch your eye once you’re paying attention. The building itself feels more like an upscale apartment complex than a traditional hotel, which honestly works in its favor.

Location & Neighborhood Perks

You know what’s great about this spot? You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo, but you’re not stuck in the tourist chaos every time you step outside. Via Francesco Sforza is one of those streets locals actually use — there’s a proper neighborhood feel with cafes that aren’t just targeting visitors. I mean, you can grab decent coffee and pastry at the corner bar where the barista remembers regulars, which is sort of the Milan experience you want.

The Room Experience

The room setup here is where VivimiHome really makes sense. Each unit comes with a proper kitchenette — not just a mini-fridge and kettle, but actual cooking space with decent appliances. The rooms feel more like temporary apartments than hotel stays, which works perfectly if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. Storage space is actually generous, and the bathrooms are modern without trying too hard to be trendy.

Practical Considerations

Honestly, the 8.4 rating feels about right for what you get. The staff is helpful without being overwhelming, and check-in was straightforward when I visited. There’s no fancy restaurant on-site, but given the kitchenette situation and the neighborhood’s food options, that’s not really a problem. What impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being so central — the windows actually block out street noise properly.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it gives you the independence of an apartment rental with the reliability of a proper hotel. You’re not paying for amenities you won’t use, but you get the essentials done well. The location means you can walk to most of Milan’s main attractions, yet you’re staying somewhere that feels less touristy. For the price point in this part of Milan, VivimiHome – Duomo Cioffi House Residence delivers exactly what it promises without any unnecessary extras.

Reviews of VivimiHome – Duomo Cioffi House Residence

  • Amazing – Erinda from Albania – 2 December 2025 (10/10)

I liked the location, the house it was very comfortable and very clean

What could be improved: Nothing, everything was very good

  • It was ok – Armando from Mexico – 12 October 2025 (7/10)

    The location was good

What could be improved: The beds are too old and noisy didn’t rest at all

  • Nice space with convenient transit options, but a few improvements would help – Anne from Germany – 5 October 2025 (7/10)

Very convenient to multiple public transit options (bus, tram, Metro); nearby groceries, shops, and restaurants; nice to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in Milan since those were very hard to find, nice kitchen area, private and safe entry.

What could be improved: Not as comfortable as other apartments we have stayed in, for instance in the bathrooms there was nowhere to put any toiletries or hang up towels after use, the mattresses were thin, and the seating area is taken up by the foosball table (although we did enjoy several games). We hoped to do some laundry as this stay was part of a longer trip, but there was visible mold inside the washing machine. And there were so many mosquitos inside the apartment that we all have bites over our skin, especially faces and hands, bad enough that we had to buy antihistamine cream to help. Otherwise it is a very nice place so hope the owners can address some of these things for future guests.

  • Great value excellent location everything you need for a short city break – Chris from United Kingdom – 10 September 2025 (10/10)

Spacious with all good amenities close by

What could be improved: There was nothing we didn’t like would definitely book again

  • Exceptional – Man from Hong Kong – 3 August 2025 (10/10)

    Convenient location
    Clean and comfortable

What could be improved: Some mosquitoes since it is close to the garbage disposal area but it is acceptable

  • We had a lovely stay at the apartment and the location – P from United Kingdom – 26 July 2025 (9/10)

Well equipped clean and central location. Easy access to key attractions. Very easy to get to and from the airport on the M4.
Our girls got very ill overnight while we were there for the short stay. The management were very accommodating to allow us a late checkout request that morning which was greatly appreciated as our flight home was not till much later that night.

    What could be improved: n/a

  • Very good – Carole from United Kingdom – 8 July 2025 (8/10)

It is in a good location- only a short walk from the Duomo and a short metro ride from Milan Centrale train station. We liked having the flexibility of being able to do our own meals as well as eat out. There is a supermarket just round the corner which is very handy.

What could be improved: We liked staying at the property thank you.
Although we could hear the underground trains underneath and also other residents putting their glass bottle rubbish in the communal outside bins early in a morning, it didn’t bother us that much to be an issue.

  • Great location for a city break as its in thr heart of milan – Daniel from United Kingdom – 7 April 2025 (9/10)

Great little place smack bang between a number of subway stops. Place was clean and well equipped.

  • A fun convenient stay in the centre of Milan. – Vicki from New Zealand – 14 December 2024 (9/10)

    The fuseball table was fun!
Felt safe and secure even for a ground floor apartment.
    Close to metro.
Great having a washing machine but no dryer only an airer which worked as we were there two nights.

What could be improved: The noisy rubbish cupboard in the courtyard outside our door.

  • Very good – Eva from Spain – 2 November 2024 (8/10)

The two bedrooms are large with a large closet, each of t'hem with TV, and the two toilets are very convenient. The Table-football is very new and good quality. Quiet place, no sound of traffic. Location is excellent with public transportation close. Kitchen with large fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.

What could be improved: We missed some small items in the kitchen that are necessary. There were very few glasses and mugs, no bowls, no kitchen paper/knapkins, no kitchen clothes. In the toilets, small bins or toilet carpet (to avoid slipping when leaving the shower) would be necessary. These are minor items that the owner could add and the experience would be a 10.
