Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally in Milan City Centre, but it doesn’t feel touristy or overwhelming. The Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio is practically around the corner, and you can walk to the Duomo in about fifteen minutes if you’re not stopping for coffee (which, let’s be honest, you will be). What really struck me is how couples seem to gravitate toward this area — there’s something romantic about these quieter streets that still buzz with authentic Milanese life. You’ll find yourself discovering little trattorias and wine bars that most visitors never stumble upon.

The Space

The apartment setup here is actually pretty clever — it’s what they call a “bivano,” which basically means you get a proper living space that doesn’t feel cramped like typical hotel rooms can. There’s a functional kitchen area that’s perfect for making morning coffee or storing those amazing cheeses you’ll inevitably buy at the local markets. I mean, having your own space in the heart of Milan? That’s something you don’t get at most hotels, and it makes all the difference when you want to unwind after a day of exploring.

Getting Around

What surprised me most was how walkable everything is from here. Sure, Milan has great public transport, but from this location you can actually stroll to most of the major sights without feeling like you’re hiking across the city. The shopping districts are close enough that you won’t need to plan your entire day around getting there, and when your feet get tired — well, there are plenty of cafés where you can people-watch and recharge. The neighborhood has that perfect balance where you’re central but not constantly surrounded by tour groups.

  What could be improved: They gave me stress all day long, they corresponded with e-mails, they don't use WhatsApp, they send forms, there are questions such as if you buy a house instead, you get a visa from the American consulate, if you don't do these, you will never be able to enter the house and not get your money back. I drove for a day and had to stop and write e-mails all the time. I never recommend it, I prefer a person with WhatsApp. Everything is direct and easy rental. Do not rent any part of Accomodo. In addition, the bathroom door is normally glazed, the inside is directly visible, it has never been comfortable with my children.

  The location is in a convenient place. There were almost everything you could need in the house.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is on the ground floor. At 4am you wake up to the laughter and slamming of doors by fun-loving Italians. As of the end of November, the heaters were still not working. The apartment and the floors were cold. When I asked for help about this situation, they sent me an "automatic" message with my name attached, saying that the central system control was with the administrator and that they could not do anything about this situation. So they had probably received complaints about this before and no effort was made to solve it.

  It is brilliantly placed and very quiet . Lovely beds and bedding and good towels. It was perfect as we only wanted it for sleeping and washing. Very clean. Thank you.
  
  What could be improved: It took us about an hour to get through the first gate because the code instructions only worked if someone was in the apartment. Luckily later we managed to chat with someone connected to the appartment who told us where to find a set of keys. If not the only way to get in to the complex was if one of the residents let us in.
  
  That there was no toilet paper.. seemed very mean. Maybe it had been forgotten.
