Alessi 13, Milano Overview
First Impressions
Alessi 13, Milano sits on a quiet street that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos, yet you’re still smack in the heart of Milan. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance — no flashy signs or marble lobbies, just clean lines and a sense that whoever designed this place actually cares about details. When I walked in, the staff greeted me in that perfectly professional yet warm Italian way that makes you feel like you’ve made the right choice.
The Neighborhood
Via Galeazzo Alessi is one of those streets locals use as a shortcut, which honestly makes it perfect for a hotel. You’re close enough to walk to the Duomo in about fifteen minutes, but far enough away that you won’t hear tour groups at 7 AM. There’s a fantastic little café two blocks down where I grabbed espresso each morning — the kind of place where the barista remembers your order by day three. The Porta Garibaldi district is right nearby too, so you’ve got easy access to Milan’s business area if that’s why you’re here.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but cleverly designed — I mean, this is Milan, so space comes at a premium. What impressed me was how they managed to fit everything you actually need without making it feel cramped. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and the shower had proper water pressure (you’d be amazed how many European hotels mess this up). The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was crucial during my July visit when Milan was basically melting.
Amenities & Service
This four-star property doesn’t try to be everything to everyone, and that’s actually refreshing. There’s a small fitness area that’s adequate for a quick workout, and the breakfast setup is quite good — fresh pastries, decent coffee, and enough variety to keep you happy for several days. The front desk staff knew their stuff about the city, giving me solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. Parking is available if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re settled in this location.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about Alessi 13 is that it gets the basics completely right without any unnecessary fuss. The beds are comfortable, the Wi-Fi is fast, and the whole place feels clean and well-maintained. You’re paying for location and reliability here, not for a rooftop pool or a fancy spa. For business travelers or couples wanting to explore Milan without breaking the bank on accommodation, this place hits that sweet spot between quality and value. It’s the kind of hotel where you’ll sleep well, start your day properly, and spend your time exploring the city instead of hanging around the lobby.

Reviews of Alessi 13, Milano
Prima, klein maar compleet – Andre from Netherlands – 30 October 2025 (8/10)
What could be improved: De deur moet geopend worden door een app op je telefoon. Dat werkt niet altijd. Er waren ook sleutels in een sleutelkastje, maar dat werd pas later gecommuniceerd. Daarna geen problemen meer gehad met de deuren.
Good – Anonymous from Australia – 22 October 2025 (7/10)
The location was great and the communication was good too.
What could be improved: The listing mentioned a television and streaming services which was not there.Door problems created a horrible first night in Milan otherwise it was a great stay – Janine from Canada – 29 September 2025 (6/10)
Loved the apartment, having the two rooms and having a full kitchen to use, liked the layout of the apartment
What could be improved: Place was very difficult to find and To check in you need to use an app and to open and close the door you use an app on your phone — we arrived at the location in the evening and were ready to relax and chill as it was our first night in Italy (my boyfriends first time being in Europe in general) and when we got to the unit the app was not working to open the door, turns out the door handle was not charged, and it was too late to have someone give us physical keys the first night was a nightmare as we couldn't get in and then we had no place to stay. Bookings was no help. The lady managing the property was trying her best but she couldn't do anything remotely (perhaps better to have someone on hand for emergencies like this). It created a horrible first night for us as we were homeless and had tried to open the door for two hours. The next day we were able to get physical keys and got a refund right away for the first night. After that everything else went smoothly and the stay was very pleasant. And the woman managing was very accommodating.Superb – Chachou from France – 23 June 2025 (9/10)
Space Disappointing on arrival, would be better for a 1 or 2 night stay – not 5 as we were. – Anonymous from Canada – 3 June 2025 (3/10)
Very clean, comfortble bed, quiet. Modern compact kitchen and bathroom.
What could be improved: Very cramped, low ceilings because of location in the roof, especially if you are tall. Stairs to 6th floor difficult with luggage. No-one there on arrival to help with a problem with the automatic locking system. Nowhere to sit after walking around the city all day – either on the bed or a kitchen stool. No property or city information to help in navigating the stay for newcomer to the city.Peaceful homey retreat in Milan – John from Qatar – 13 May 2025 (10/10)
Alessi 13 was a gem, beautiful home retreat after a chaotic shopping, unending walk and noisy bustling Milan. As soon as we reach the place, all amenities were already there waiting to be used.
Location is easily accessible with tram or Metro with a 4min walk, small grocery store including Carefour express were just a block away.
The staff were very responsive and nice. Ms. Luigiana has been in touch regularly to see if we need anything.
What could be improved: We enjoyed every bit of our stay and we hope to come back again.Exceptional – Mariagarcia_3108 from Spain – 8 April 2025 (10/10)
