First Impressions

Walking into ARTs at Magenta, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical three-star hotel. The name gives it away — there’s an artsy, creative vibe that runs through everything from the lobby design to the way they’ve arranged the common spaces. It’s tucked away on Via Cappuccio, which honestly took me a minute to find the first time, but that’s part of its charm.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about the spot — you’re actually in a real Milanese neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. Milan‘s Magenta district feels lived-in, with locals grabbing their morning coffee at the corner bar and kids walking to school. The Cadorna train station is maybe a ten-minute walk, which means you can easily get to Malpensa airport or hop on the metro. I mean, you’re not right in the Duomo area, but honestly? That’s better — you’ll sleep better and spend way less on everything.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but thoughtfully designed. You know what impressed me? They actually paid attention to lighting — there’s a reading light that works, proper bedside outlets, and the bathroom doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a three-star place, and the air conditioning (crucial in Milan summers) worked without sounding like a jet engine.

Food & Dining

There’s no full restaurant on-site, but the breakfast setup is solid — fresh pastries, decent coffee, and they don’t rush you out the door. What’s better is the neighborhood’s food scene. There’s this little trattoria around the corner that serves proper Milanese risotto, and a gelato place that locals actually visit (you can tell because there’s always a line of nonnas).

Look, ARTs at Magenta isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s clean, comfortable, and genuinely friendly without being fake about it. The staff actually remembers your name after a day or two, which is rare these days. For the price point, especially in Milan, you’re getting honest value — a good night’s sleep, a decent breakfast, and a real neighborhood experience rather than a sterile hotel bubble.

  An amazing apartment, very Italian style😍😍. It has a beautiful balcony on the top! The apartment is like 13 min walk from Duomo!

  Location is good.
  Washing machine with dryer is a plus.
  
  What could be improved: I don't think they maintain it properly:
  1) there was a leak under the kitchen sink.
  2) the shower gel and shampoo bottles were almost empty.
  3) only 4 Nespresso capsules were provided for two persons staying for 4 days.
  4) the bedroom light was broken.
  
  I could understand the coffee capsules are just a welcome complimentary thing. But empty shampoo and shower gel?

  I really enjoyed my stay! The place was cozy, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with lots of natural light. The small terrace was my favorite spot — perfect for relaxing, enjoying the view, and having a coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

  The flat is awesome! It has a terrace with a magnificent view, big kitchen and living room full of light, big balcony, big restroom and the condition is really good.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing I would like to suggest is to add cotton pads in the bathroom cause it is really a necessity

  It’s a scam! Around midnight, while I was on my way to the hotel, I received a message saying that my room hadn’t been cleaned and that I would have to stay in a dirty room. I decided to go to a different hotel, as this was completely unacceptable. Now they’re refusing to refund my money. Avoid this place – total scam!

• Nos sentimos em um lar, parecia a nossa casa – Magnum from Brazil – 2 October 2025 (10/10)

  Foi uma hospedagem que pegamos de última hora, mas foi um achado! Já estávamos em Milão e pedimos um check-in antecipado, o que não foi possível. Ao chegarmos ainda estavam terminando a limpeza e teve algum problema de reparo, que levou um tempo para ser resolvido, nos
  custou um pouco de tempo, mas não prejudicou a experiência, acreditamos que foi algo pontual. O apartamento é excelente e de muito bom gosto. Fica no último andar do edifício e tem elevador. O prédio é seguro e com redondezas também seguras e perto da Duomo. Conseguimos lavar nossas roupas sujas na máquina e sem custo, o que foi maravilhoso. O banheiro é grande e tem banheira, também grande e ainda possui uma bela vista. O apartamento é bem grande e ainda possui uma varanda bem fofa no andar acima, com uma bela vista, mas atenção com possíveis escorregões na escada, aconteceu conosco e nos machucamos. A cama era bem confortável, dormimos muito bem. A cozinha é toda projetada e achamos bem completa para tudo que precisamos a para fazer as nossas refeições. Estava tudo perfeitamente limpo também. Adorei essa estadia e gostaria de ter mais tempo em Milão para ter curtido mais a casa, pois claramente a dona é uma apaixonada por arquitetura.
  
  What could be improved: Como estava chovendo, a escada de acesso à varanda estava molhada e um de nós caiu e se machucou feio. Então cuidado.
  E não tinha um espelho de corpo todo.
