I found myself grabbing morning coffee at the bar around the corner where the barista knew regulars by name, and there’s a little market nearby that’s perfect for picking up snacks or that bottle of wine you forgot to buy.

The Room Experience

My room was what I’d call smart design — not huge, but everything had its place and felt purposeful. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious (you know how European hotel bathrooms can be), and I appreciated the blackout curtains since Milan traffic starts early. The air conditioning actually worked properly, which, let me tell you, isn’t always a given in older European buildings. Little touches like the reading lights and USB ports by the bed showed they get what travelers need.

Getting Around and Dining

The metro connections from here are solid — you can reach the Duomo in maybe fifteen minutes, and getting to Navigli for dinner doesn’t require planning your whole evening around transportation. There’s a restaurant downstairs that serves decent Italian fare, though I’ll be honest, with Milan’s food scene right outside your door, I mostly used it for quick breakfasts. The staff pointed me toward this incredible trattoria two blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

Look, this isn’t the flashiest hotel in Milan, but that’s sort of the point. The service feels genuine rather than rehearsed — when I asked about getting to Malpensa early in the morning, the front desk guy actually wrote down the bus times and drew me a little map to the stop. The 8.8 rating makes sense because everything just works the way it should, without drama or complications. It’s the kind of place where you can focus on enjoying Milan instead of dealing with hotel nonsense.

  Very friendly helpful staff, super comfortable big beds, adjustable and efficient air conditioning, perfect location for a short stay in Milan since the hotel is only 15 min from Duomo, also not too far from the Central Station

Our room was located next to the elevator which was not ideal since we could hear people pass by and talk in early morning – so not the best quality sleep. Also, lack of possibility to make coffee in our room (only tea).
