The Porta Garibaldi district is just a short metro ride away, and honestly, I found myself exploring neighborhoods I might have skipped if I’d stayed in the touristy center. Plus, there’s something oddly soothing about watching the organized ballet of trains from your window.

The Room Experience

My room was a pleasant surprise — modern, clean lines with soundproofing that actually works (trust me, this matters when you’re above a train station). The design feels distinctly Italian but not in that over-the-top way some hotels try too hard to achieve. What I really appreciated were the practical touches: plenty of power outlets, a decent workspace, and blackout curtains that mean business. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, with a rainfall shower that made those early morning departures much more bearable.
