Central Station Milano Room – 3 Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Central Station Milano Room – 3 on Via Ferrante Aporti, you’ll notice it’s not your typical hotel — and that’s actually a good thing. This apartment-style accommodation sits in a residential building just steps from Milano Centrale, which means you get the authentic feel of living like a local rather than being stuck in some sterile hotel lobby. The entrance is straightforward, no fancy doormen or marble floors, but honestly, that’s part of its charm.

Location and Getting Around

You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally a two-minute walk from one of Europe’s busiest train stations, but the street itself is surprisingly quiet. I mean, Via Ferrante Aporti runs parallel to all the main action, so you avoid the chaos of tourists dragging suitcases at all hours. The Porta Garibaldi district is about a 15-minute walk if you want trendy bars and restaurants, and getting to the Duomo takes maybe 20 minutes on the metro — though honestly, I often just walked because Milan is pretty compact once you get your bearings.

The Space Itself

This three-star place gives you way more space than you’d expect for the price point. The room feels more like a small studio, with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase (revolutionary concept, right?). There’s a basic kitchenette setup that’s perfect for making morning coffee or heating up leftovers from that amazing Milanese dinner you couldn’t finish. The bed was comfortable enough, and the Wi-Fi actually worked consistently — which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in these converted residential buildings.

Practical Considerations

Here’s the thing about staying near Central Station — it’s incredibly practical but not exactly picturesque. You’ll hear some train noise, especially in the early morning, though it’s not as bad as you might think since the building faces away from the main tracks. Parking can be tricky in this area, but if you’re relying on public transport (which you should in Milan), you’re golden. The building doesn’t have a 24-hour reception, so make sure you coordinate arrival times — though the host was pretty responsive when I had questions.

Why Guests Love It

What really works here is the combination of independence and location. You’re not paying for services you don’t need, but you’re positioned perfectly for exploring Milan or catching early trains to other Italian cities. The 7.8 rating makes sense — it’s not going to wow you with amenities, but it delivers exactly what it promises. For travelers who want a clean, functional base that doesn’t eat up half their travel budget, Central Station Milano Room – 3 hits that sweet spot between affordability and practicality that’s getting harder to find in Milan these days.

Reviews of Central Station Milano Room – 3

  • Good – Rusic from Serbia – 15 November 2025 (7/10)

I liked location and the esthetic of place

What could be improved: The room was a bit small and it didn't have kettle, fridges, slippers or toothbrushes
Also, the room is like a basement with see-through shades on windows, so we always felt like people from the street are watching us

  • All in all a very convenient location, close to the central train station and to nearby restaurants – Peter from Australia – 19 October 2025 (7/10)

the location's proximity to the central station was great – only a short walk away. There was aircon which was good as the room was below street level so didn't get a lot of airflow.

What could be improved: the basin didn't drain and the bathroom door was binding on the floor. The bedside laps were broken and there wasn't a kettle to boil water for tea or coffee. The curtain was a thin gauze material which did not block out the bright street lighting at night and so people walking by could see inside.

  • Very good – Kathryn from New Zealand – 9 October 2025 (8/10)

Clean, tidy basic room. No tea/coffee facilities. Good communication from staff when we had issues with payment of taxes.

  • Superb – Inna from Ukraine – 1 October 2025 (9/10)

I think the host tried his best to offer nice room Milan for acceptable money. Close to the central train station. It's locaten on the ground flor (like half room is undergraund and half room is ground floor (from the window you can see legs of the people). There is enough space for 2 pp with a private bathroom.

What could be improved: Nothing bad

  • Great Location but needs additional Kettle for making tea or instant coffee – Ann from Philippines – 3 February 2025 (7/10)

    Convenient and accessible location

What could be improved: Please include water heater or electric kettle for coffee or tea especially when the client wakes up very early in the morning, they couldnt go immediately to coffee shop, so that they could atleast make instant coffee in the morning to warm up their day

  • Good – Robert from Spain – 12 September 2024 (7/10)

A good place for a couple of nights near from the Central Station.

  • Location good , quite place – Janeritz22 from United Kingdom – 28 June 2024 (9/10)

    No breakfast

What could be improved: No glass or cups to use to brush teeth…even disposables

  • Good – Marie from Germany – 26 May 2024 (7/10)

    Super central

What could be improved: Air in room felt moist. It was okay for a night tho.

  • Good – Falcon from Malta – 30 December 2023 (7/10)

    Very accessible.
    Convenient to use.
    On the ground floor.
    Cozy

What could be improved: No garbage collection.
No cleaning from time to time and no cleaning materials like broom.

  • Good – Khyati from Luxembourg – 15 April 2023 (7/10)

    location

What could be improved: Wi-Fi issue and too early checkout
