Walking into Brera Design Loft feels like stumbling into someone’s incredibly stylish apartment — which, honestly, is exactly what makes this place so special. The entrance on Largo la Foppa doesn’t scream “hotel” at all, and that’s the point. You’re essentially staying in a beautifully converted space in one of Milan’s most creative neighborhoods, where the line between hospitality and home gets wonderfully blurred.

Location & Neighborhood

The Brera district is where Milan shows off its artistic side without trying too hard. You’re surrounded by galleries, vintage shops, and those tiny bars where locals actually hang out — not just tourist traps. The Pinacoteca di Brera is literally around the corner, and you can walk to the Duomo in about fifteen minutes if you feel like it. But honestly, you might find yourself just wandering the cobblestone streets here because there’s always something interesting tucked away in the narrow alleys.

The Space

This four-star property gets the design element right — clean lines, warm lighting, and furniture that actually looks like someone curated it rather than ordered it from a hotel catalog. Each room feels different, with high ceilings and these great big windows that let in all that northern Italian light. The kitchenette setup varies depending on which space you get, but even the smaller units have enough to make morning coffee without having to venture out immediately.

Practical Details

What I appreciate most is how they handle the small stuff. The Wi-Fi actually works well (crucial when you’re trying to navigate Milan’s somewhat confusing public transport), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine. Parking isn’t included, but you know what? You don’t really need a car here anyway. The nearest metro stop puts you anywhere in the city within twenty minutes, and half the fun of Milan is just walking around and discovering things.

  The accommodation is clean and very nicely decorated. It's in the city center, but there is no noise and you feel safe in this part of the city. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The apartment has everything you need for your stay, it is on the ground floor but has a large window that faces the yard so it’s not too dark.

  L’appartement est vraiment très joli, décoré avec goût. Très confortable et propre ! L’emplacement était parfait dans un quartier animé avec des bars et restaurants, boutiques, mais quand même retiré de la rue ce qui permet de rester au calme. Très bien équipé, on ne manque de rien, en cuisine il y avait même des pâtes, du sucre, du thé, et autres petits trucs qui peuvent être très utile lorsque nous arrivons le soir. Une station de métro est juste en face ce qui permet d’être encore plus mobile. Nous sommes déjà proche de tout. L’hôte est une personne comme on trouve rarement. Très compréhensive, bienveillante et très gentille ! Je reviendrai et recommanderai à tout le monde autour de moi !

  Location is absolutely perfect, in a street filled with nice bars and cafés, but still quiet as the apartment is turned to the inner garden. Size is enough for 3 people for a long weekend. Comfy bed. Right next to Moskova station. Host was very nice and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The air is a bit stuffy and moldy as it is the base floor of an old but stylish building. It would be difficult to spend more than 2 nights because there is only one window in the living room, so you cannot air the bedroom well. Especially would be tricky with soneone with asthma for eg.

  Vanessa is a brilliant host before we arrived, during and after our stay. She was just a message away throughout our holiday .
  The apartment is located in a quiet area and has a keypad entrance from the main gate which added extra security. Very clean apartment. It was well equipt from umbrellas (it saved us from the scorching heat), phone chargers, coffee machine complementary bottled water, taralli, tea bags etc. Beds very comfortable. Towels and toiletries provided. It is just a minute away from Moscova metro. You can reach the Duomo within 15 minutes via metro or in less than half an hour by foot. Milano Centrale station is within 5 minute via M2 or 30 mins walk. The metro is easy to use, even my 13 year old son mastered our route. There are a lot of shops, pizzeria, restaurants along the street near the apartment. It is just the perfect apartment to stay, it has everything you need for a holiday. Thank you Vanessa 😊
  
  What could be improved: I was not a fan of the glass bathroom wall from the bedroom as I had two sons with me but I didn't dislike it. And it was clearly shown on the photos so it was expected. My son thought it was a privacy glass waiting for it to turn black before having a shower😅. The actual bathroom is great as it also has washing machine and dryer and a hair dryer. And it has a bidet👍🏻.
  One of the aircon had a condensation issue which was dealt with immediately.
  There is nothing to dislike in the property. Everything is perfect for our holiday.

  We were one week in Milan, for holidays.
  
  Apartment was very tidy and in this heat, the air conditioning was a big plus! Also the kitchen had everything you needed.
  
  We also liked that it was near good cafes, grocery store and transprot connections. It was easy to get there from the airport. You could also walk to the tourist attractions which was lovely!
  
  Host Vanessa was very friendly and helpful.
  She helped us before and during the trip!🥰

  What could be improved: Im a light sleeper so i must say thst during the night you could hear noises from nearest bars, but nothing that earplugs couldn't block!

  We were so happy with our stay at the Brera Design Loft. The location was perfect! The loft is separated from the street by a cute courtyard and when you leave the courtyard, you step out into the action of the bars and restaurants. The loft is so close to all that Brera has to offer, shopping and wonderful restaurants.
  The loft itself is clean, spacious, and modern.

  The apartments have a great location, in a good area. Nearby is a 3-minute walk from the Moskova metro station and a taxi stop. The apartments are located on a pedestrian street, with many cafes and restaurants nearby where you can eat. I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the apartment owners: there was water, tea, coffee, pasta, etc. When you come in the evening, it is very nice to have tea. There is also shampoo, shower gel, soap, towels. There is also an iron and ironing board, umbrellas. There are many necessary things in the kitchen. Convenient independent eviction.

  Excellent host and location, super comfy bed, kitchen and bathroom very well equipped. Perfect for a single person or a couple.
  
  What could be improved: One of the bathroom walls is made of glass and is see-through from the bedroom, and the door doesn’t close with the key.

  Great location- completely in the center. At the same time, the apartment was located in a quiet courtyard and had a separate entrance. Very comfortable with children. An incredible number of small details- charger, umbrella, washing tools, oils, coffee, etc. A great place to get acquainted with the big city.
