You’re basically a stone’s throw from Parco Sempione — I mean, you can actually see the greenery from some windows — but you’re still close enough to the action that you won’t feel cut off from the city. The building itself has that clean, modern Italian vibe without trying too hard to be flashy.

The Neighborhood Feel

What I really appreciate about this three-star spot is how it puts you in a proper Milanese neighborhood rather than some touristy bubble. There’s this little bakery around the corner where locals grab their morning cornetti, and you’ll find yourself walking past the same faces on your way to the metro. The Sempione area has this relaxed residential energy during the day, but come evening, the nearby bars and cafés start buzzing with that distinctly Milan sophistication.

The Apartment Setup

The apartment itself is quite practical — and I say that as someone who’s stayed in way too many cramped European accommodations. You get a proper kitchenette (which actually works, unlike some places), and the room layout makes smart use of the space without feeling cramped. The furnishing is contemporary without being cold, though don’t expect anything groundbreaking design-wise. It’s clean, functional, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring Milan all day.

Getting Around

Here’s what sold me on the location: Moscova metro station is maybe a seven-minute walk, which puts you practically anywhere in Milan within 20 minutes. But honestly, I found myself walking more than expected because you’re positioned perfectly between the Brera district and the city center. Plus, if you need to grab groceries or just want to people-watch, Corso Garibaldi is right there with all its shops and that constant stream of well-dressed Milanese.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to blow your mind with amenities or over-the-top service, but that’s sort of the point. You get the independence of having your own space, you’re staying where actual residents live, and you can walk to both the Duomo and Navigli without breaking a sweat. The 7.5 rating makes sense — it’s solid, reliable, and gives you that authentic Milan experience without the tourist markup you’d find closer to the cathedral.   What could be improved: They apartament is quite old with old furniture that is about to break apart (bathroom window, kitchen, window shades). They charge you in advance 350 euros (make sure you read the policy before booking) and you can easily break something by mistake and lose the deposit.

  The apartment was clean, it did smell of bleach when we first arrived. But after a day the smell cleared up. Furthermore location was close to public transport.
  
  What could be improved: Milan was about 38 degrees and above during our stay meaning our room was about 25-28 degrees at night.
  
  We turned on the aircon as any sane person would do. However we were rudely awakened about an hour later to a room which was again between 25-28, as the aircon had turned off.
  
  Turns out the host had out an hour timer on it meaning that through the nights we would have to get up multiple times to turn it back on. It goes without saying that nights were unpleasant and made up of very little sleep.
  
  Furthermore the instructions for the Wifi said to simply connect by typing in a password. However, upon doing so we had no connection.
  
  Turns out you have to wait with the phone unlocked sometimes for quite some time before a website opens where you have to accept terms and conditions .
  
  We found this out by ourselves as when contacting the host we received no response. In fact we only received an answer after we had left.

  Location great, facing a great park with a lake. Plenty of restaurants to hand and China town only 5 minute walk away. Cathedral and museum less than 20 minute walk away.
  The apartment has everything you need , a beautiful balcony , lots of storage if you are staying for a longer period. Access to the apartment is safe and secure.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom could do with updating. The shower and bath are a little dated.
