Corsica Huge Terrace Flats Overview

First Impressions

Corsica Huge Terrace Flats lives up to its name — honestly, the terraces here are massive. I mean, we’re talking about outdoor spaces that are bigger than some entire hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. The building sits on Viale Corsica in the Porta Vittoria district, and while it’s not flashy from the outside, you know what they say about not judging a book by its cover.

Location & Neighborhood

Porta Vittoria is one of those Milan neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss. It’s got this residential vibe that makes you feel like you’re actually living in the city, not just visiting it. You’re about a 15-minute metro ride from the Duomo, which is perfect — close enough to hit the main sights, far enough to escape the tourist crowds when you need a breather. There’s a great little market nearby on Via Benadir where I grabbed fresh produce for breakfast.

The Apartment Experience

Each apartment here feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a typical hotel. The layouts are practical — not designer-magazine perfect, but comfortable in that lived-in way. The kitchen setups are actually functional (I cooked pasta twice during my stay), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The furnishings are simple but solid, nothing fancy for a three-star place, but everything works as it should.

Those Amazing Terraces

But let’s talk about what really sets this place apart — those terraces. Some face the street, others look out over interior courtyards, but they’re all surprisingly spacious. I spent my mornings out there with coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up. In the evenings, it’s perfect for a glass of wine while planning the next day’s adventures. The outdoor furniture is basic but comfortable, and there’s usually enough space for a small group to hang out together.

Why Guests Love It

The value here is solid — you get a lot of space for what you pay, especially by Milan standards. The staff is helpful without being overbearing, and the whole setup works well if you prefer the independence of an apartment-style stay over traditional hotel service. It’s particularly great for longer visits or if you’re traveling with friends who want to cook some meals and have space to relax. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge — this is more about having your own temporary Milan base.

Locals suggest to book apartments in Milan around Porta Romana for vintage markets, trattoria spots, and tree-lined avenues.

Reviews of Corsica Huge Terrace Flats

  • Very good – Jigar from India – 27 September 2025 (8/10)

    Large balcony

What could be improved: Invoice submission still not done by property in line with booking.com receipt. Still i am struggling for it.

  • Really nice and clean – Aysenur from Turkey – 9 May 2025 (9/10)

There was everything in the house, from the washing machine to the detergent to be used in it. The furniture was very comfortable. The location was very good, 5 minutes walking distance to the metro and 3 minutes walking distance to the tram.

What could be improved: The only downside was that there was no kettle, but we were able to get hot water by heating it on the stove.

  • Good stay with caveats – Arina from Spain – 22 October 2024 (8/10)

Very well situated very close to the center. The balcony is very big and it's nice to end the day there. It's on a quiet street, overall we enjoyed our stay

What could be improved: The drain in the sink in the bathroom broke the first day we got there. We informed management immediately and despite promising to send someone out, they didn't

  • Very good – Aleksandr from Serbia – 28 September 2024 (8/10)

Good looking apartment, everything necessary is available

What could be improved: The access to the apartment is a bit over complicated, it wasn't easy to figure out what to do with an electronic lock.

  • Superb – Alex from United Kingdom – 23 September 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was beautiful. Lovely balcony and facilities. Sometimes annoying to get into the building with the app, however not the owners fault. Spacious and great location for trams and metro and food shops.

  • Great Location and Amenities, but Cleanliness Needs Attention – Silvia from Romania – 30 June 2024 (7/10)

The apartment was well-equipped, making it feel like home.
The bed was neatly made with ironed sheets and was adequate for two people; we slept comfortably despite being solidly built. (Also the bed is very comfortable by itself)
Accessing the building and apartment was straightforward with clear instructions and a simple online code system. You need to get the keys from outside first (!!!) which also unlocks the building doors.
The CleanBnB staff were very helpful and responsive when we had trouble or needed the Wi-Fi password.
The apartment is a few tram stations from the Duomo (tram 27, about a 20-minute drive).
We mainly used the route from Viale Corsica to Duomo, which offered more connections.
The area felt safe, even late at night, with many people walking their dogs around 11 PM.
    There’s a Penny market nearby.
On Via Lomellina, there's a great restaurant called Romano with reasonable prices and excellent food.

*The pictures were taken 10 minutes after we arrived at the apartment, so my boyfriend had already sat on the bed and used the towels.*

What could be improved: The apartment tends to develop an odor if the windows are kept closed for a few hours, so it's best to leave them open when you're out.
While the apartment wasn’t dirty, it wasn't spotless either. The moka was dirty and rusty, the kettle was unclean, and the fridge shelves needed more attention.
The towels and sheets, though stored in zip bags, didn't smell freshly clean.
Overall, the apartment appeared clean but felt somewhat grimy.
It's understandable that every utensil might not be cleaned after each guest, but more care is needed.
The apartment matched the photos with minor differences: the couch looked worn out, there were no orange pillows on the balcony chairs (just the plain wood), there was dirt and leaves on the balcony floor from the rain.
The bedroom was sparsely furnished with just a bed and cupboards, making it feel cold and empty.
While we didn't need extra furniture for specific activities, the lack of it made the room feel a bit depressing.
Additionally, the bedroom walls were dirty and could use some touch-ups.
There was a cupboard door in the kitchen that kept falling off whenever we opened the adjacent ones.
Be aware that trams and buses can be late, so if you have a train to catch, better leave an hour and something before.
There was no close Carrefour for cheaper options.

  • These are Great apartments for living in Milan, considering their price, location, our experience – Uladzislau from Belarus – 23 October 2023 (9/10)

We had a truly wonderful visit in Milan, and experience during our stay in the rented apartment was also lovely.

The location was close to the subway; for us, it was a 10-15 minute walk with a child to one of the two nearest stations on the blue metro line. One transfer, and you're at Milan's Duomo.

Despite not having a lot of living space, they have everything necessary for a comfortable non-touristy routine. We were with a two-year-old child, and it's important to note that there isn't a dedicated children's sleeping area or crib in the apartment. However, it wasn't a problem for us. Heating in October was available through the air conditioning system, and it worked well for us.

I was also pleased with the support team's work. They are proactive and even in slightly scary situations for tourists like us, such as when someone tried to enter our room, they provided explanations via the support chat, informing us that it was a cleaning staff member who had mistaken the rooms.

-Not a Plus or Minus, but to be mentioned
In reviews, they mention difficulties with getting into the room, and indeed, you need to have a card with an active European mobile network or roaming to access the apartment. However, the process is well described in the instructions.

What could be improved: The only downside was that in October, the towel drying system in the bathroom was not functioning. The bidet tap and the water flow adjustment in the bathtub need some maintenance. This didn't bother us much. Also, we couldn't figure out how to use the dishwasher, even though there were capsules available (as well as laundry detergent).

  • It was beautiful 🥰😍 – Khaled from Austria – 27 September 2023 (10/10)

    Everything 😍😍

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Exceptional – Anna from Israel – 13 June 2023 (10/10)

very good facilities, big terass, in the flat you can find everything you need….

What could be improved: we have a little problem with door looker, it was a litle hard to cach the staff, ,probenly you can leave the key for the next turist

  • Scary experience – Eliza from Australia – 1 June 2023 (4/10)

Lovely apartment with all that was needed. The help number provided responded quickly to our inquiries.

What could be improved: Scarily, we had someone try to enter our apartment without our permission. They had the code to the door and tried to forcefully enter. They continued to try the code and push at the door for about 20-30 minutes. It was only because of the extra lock that they could not enter. Very scary for us, horrible experience. Soon after, it was confirmed by the help number for the apartment that it was the laundry service coming without notice at 7pm. After paying the city tax, we were told that we had not paid it. After providing banking receipts, they continued to push that we had not paid it. Later, they found the payment and we did not have to repay.
