You’re on Via Aleardo Aleardi, which sounds fancy but it’s actually this quiet residential street that somehow manages to feel both central and tucked away. Being in Sempione means you’re essentially living like a local in one of Milan‘s most authentic neighborhoods. I mean, step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by dim sum spots, authentic Chinese groceries, and these little family-run places that have been here for decades. But here’s what’s really clever about the location — you’re a ten-minute walk from Porta Garibaldi station, so getting around the city is actually effortless. The Sempione Park is right there too, which I didn’t expect to use much but ended up being my morning coffee spot.

The Studio Space

This four-star studio apartment really makes the most of its space without feeling cramped. The layout is smart — they’ve managed to fit everything you need without it feeling like a puzzle. The kitchen area is surprisingly well-equipped; I actually cooked a few meals instead of eating out every night, which saved me a fortune in Milan. The sleeping area feels separate enough that you don’t feel like you’re living in one big room, if you know what I mean.

Daily Life Details

What I really appreciated were the small things that made staying here feel natural. The Wi-Fi actually works properly (not always a given in older Milan buildings), and there’s enough storage space that you don’t have to live out of your suitcase. The shower has decent water pressure — again, something you can’t take for granted in some European apartments. Plus, there’s parking available, which in Milan is basically like finding gold.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea if you want that traditional hotel experience with room service and a concierge. But if you want to actually experience Milan rather than just visit it, this place delivers. You’ll find yourself shopping at the local markets, figuring out which Chinese restaurant makes the best noodles, and navigating the neighborhood like you belong there. The 7.8 rating makes sense — it’s solid, reliable, and gives you that authentic Milan experience without breaking the bank or compromising on comfort.

  La décoration de l’appartement plutôt moderne et son emplacement.
  
  What could be improved: L’appartement est beaucoup trop bruyant. La porte est vraiment pas isolé nous entendons vraiment tout ! De plus, l’appartement manque d’équipement notamment une plus grande casserole et un couteau qui coupe mieux.

  The shower is very good an powerful, TV is good quality and has access to all apps like Netflix etc. Modern apartment and spacious. Location is good and only around 10 minutes from the metro line with tram line 2 streets down.
  
  What could be improved: There’s a radiator inside the property but no instructions on how to use it, visiting during winter months made the apartment cold so being able to use the radiator would have been better. Air con does have a heating system which I tried to leave on during the day so it wasn’t cold when we returned, however the manager entered the premises with a workman for maintenance (we had been informed of this so there was no issue) and when inside the property the setting was turned off so the room was cold again when we returned. The property is fitted with a smart lock system, this at times didn’t feel as secure as the lock itself seemed very loose on one side of the door and felt like it wasn’t fitted properly. If staying as a couple it seems fine however a lone female may not feel that safe. A property tax is to be paid when leaving the property, unaware of the need to leave the cash none was left inside the property. The manager of the property then sent a message asking for the money to be paid, we did not receive the message for an hour due to flying home, in that time the manager had sent a follow up message demanding the money. The messages were incredible rude, abrupt and the final message entailed threats of reporting should the money not be paid. The manager however after sending these abusive and threatening messages failed to attach the bank details or method of paying the money so we couldn’t actually send the relevant money. If you’re going to send an occupant demands at least give them means of paying the money before sending threats.

  What could be improved: not fully equipped… there is a meat shop downstairs and you could hear them at 6 o’clock in the morning, every morning. The owner put you to pay extra 6.5 euro per person per night for tourism task which wasn’t mentioned before my stay…

  De locatie was ideaal! Door de ligging in Chinatown zijn er veel Aziatische winkels en eettentjes dichtbij. Vanuit het appartement ben je binnen 5 minuten bij een tramhalte, maar ook kan je in een half uur lopen in hartje centrum zijn.
