New Bilocale Porta Romana Overview
First Impressions
New Bilocale Porta Romana sits on a quiet stretch of Viale Sabotino, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking — which is actually part of its charm. This four-star property feels more like stepping into someone’s well-appointed apartment than checking into a typical hotel. The entrance is understated, almost residential, but once you’re inside, you realize that’s exactly the point.
Location & Getting Around
The Porta Romana area is one of those Milan neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss. You’re about a 15-minute metro ride from the Duomo, but you know what? You’ll probably find yourself spending more time exploring the tree-lined streets right around here. There’s this great little market on Via Crema just a few blocks away, and the Navigli canal district is an easy walk when you want dinner with some buzz around it.
The Space
Each unit here is essentially a mini-apartment, complete with a proper kitchen setup that actually works. I mean, you’ve got real counter space, a full-sized fridge, and cookware that doesn’t look like it’s been through a war. The room layouts vary, but most feel surprisingly spacious for Milan standards — high ceilings help a lot. The Wi-Fi is solid, and there’s enough electrical outlets that you won’t be playing musical chairs with your devices.
Daily Life & Amenities
What I really appreciated was how they handle the practical stuff. There’s on-site parking available, which in Milan is basically worth its weight in gold — though you’ll want to book it ahead. The front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, but they’re responsive and actually helpful when you need them. Housekeeping is efficient without being intrusive, and they’ll work around your schedule if you’re planning to spend the day out exploring.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you room to breathe in a city that can feel pretty intense. You can grab groceries from the Esselunga down the street and make coffee in the morning without rushing to catch hotel breakfast hours. The neighborhood has that authentic Milan feel — you’ll see actual families walking to school, not just tourists with maps. It’s the kind of setup that makes a longer stay feel natural, whether you’re here for business or just want to settle in and explore the city like you actually live there.
Milan’s hotels wrap guests in Renaissance courtyards, fashion-week heritage, and concierge-curated Lombardy wine tours.

Sehr modern. Sehr sauber. Sehr neuwertige Küche sowie viele Küchenutensilien. Fernseher mit allen möglichen Streaming-Kanälen. Sehr sicheres Gefühl durch das Tor!
What could be improved: Keine Schallosien dafür gab es von Innen komplett dichte Vorhänge. Was ich noch erwähnen würde wäre, dass man keinen Schlüssel für das Badezimmer hat und die Türe schließt nicht. Aber das waren sehr kleine Probleme, welche mich nicht gestört haben.Exceptional – Katarzyna from Poland – 1 June 2025 (10/10)
