Location That Actually Makes Sense

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re close enough to the Duomo that you can walk there in about eight minutes, but far enough away that you won’t hear tour groups at dawn. The street is quiet, residential even, which honestly surprised me given how central it is. There’s a little café around the corner where I grabbed espresso each morning, and the owner started recognizing me by day three.

Getting around Milan from here is actually pretty straightforward. The Cordusio metro station is maybe a five-minute walk, and from there you can reach basically anywhere that matters. Plus, if you’re into wandering, the Brera district is right there — perfect for those late afternoon strolls when the light hits the cobblestones just right.

The Space Itself

The loft lives up to its name — it’s modern without being cold, if that makes sense. My room had these great high ceilings and oversized windows that let in tons of natural light. The design is clean, minimalist, but with enough character that it doesn’t feel like a showroom. The kitchen area was compact but functional, which came in handy when I wanted to grab groceries from the local market and eat in.

What struck me most was how quiet everything was. You’d think being in the city center would mean constant noise, but the windows must be well-insulated because I slept surprisingly well. The bed was comfortable too — not too soft, not too firm, just right for someone who’s been walking around Milan all day.

Practical Stuff That Matters

The WiFi actually works, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong. Check-in was smooth — no drama, no waiting around. The building has this old-school Milan charm on the outside but everything inside feels updated and well-maintained.

I appreciated that they didn’t try to oversell the experience. No grand lobby, no fancy concierge, just a well-designed space that does what it promises. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway.

You get a stylish, comfortable place to stay in one of Milan’s best neighborhoods without paying Quadrilatero prices.   What could be improved: It was not completely clean, host did not reply within time, and refused all request. There wasn’t any extra blanket or towels. No information was provided regarding the basement floor and stairs. The apartment, which is listed as accessible, has extremely steep stairs that are not suitable for everyone.
