Here’s what I love about this spot: you’re walking distance to the Duomo (obviously), but you’re not stuck in the tourist chaos every single minute. Porta Ticinese is one of those neighborhoods where actual Milanese people live and work, so you’ll find proper cafés and shops mixed in with the tourist stuff. The Navigli district is literally around the corner — perfect for evening aperitivo without having to figure out the metro system.

The Space Itself

The penthouse setup is where this place really shines. Each apartment comes with its own kitchen, which means you can actually live like a local for a few days. I mean, who doesn’t want to shop at the nearby markets and cook with proper Italian ingredients? The panoramic views they promise are legit — you’ll get rooftop glimpses of the city that most tourists never see.

What Works (and What Doesn’t)

The 7.7 rating tells the real story here — it’s good, but not perfect. The apartments are well-maintained and spacious, definitely bigger than most Milan hotel rooms you’ll find at this price point. However, don’t expect full hotel services — this is more like staying in a friend’s really nice apartment. There’s no 24-hour concierge or daily housekeeping, but there is parking available, which is actually huge in this part of the city.

  Lovely apartment, located in very center of Milano. You can walk everywhere… Il Duomo, Science museum, Bibliotheca Ambrosiana – all just a few steps away.
  Overlooking the rooftops, very quiet, comfy bed. Heating was absolutely sufficient. Self check-in without issues. Questions answered quickly via WhatsApp.

  Location great and easy to walk to all the main areas of Milan and access the metro too. Apartment is the ideal size for a short stay and was quiet, no other apartment noise and looked out onto a lovely garden over the rooftops. The apartment was clean and the WiFi great. Would have liked the addition of a mat for stepping out of the shower – we improvised with a towel just so not to soak the floor/slip.
  
  What could be improved: The only issue with the stay is the lock on the actual apartment door. There is definitely a knack to getting this open/locked and took a bit of fiddling.

  Great location ! Great flat! Everything was perfect as you are close to all the main attractions, good restaurants, nice shops. You feel like at home.

  This apartment was clean and is lovingly decorated and the location is brilliant – midway between Milan's Duomo and Navigli, the canal district, with a tram stop literally outside the front door. The entry instructions were great. The hosts were communicative and helpful.
