Via Padova 165 Overview

First Impressions

Honestly, when I first pulled up to Via Padova 165, I wasn’t expecting much — the neighborhood isn’t exactly where most tourists end up. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are hiding in plain sight. This apartment-style accommodation sits right on one of Milan‘s busier streets, and while it might not scream boutique charm from the outside, there’s something refreshingly authentic about staying where actual Milanese people live and work.

The Neighborhood Reality

Look, I’ll be straight with you — Via Padova isn’t the glossy Brera district or anything like that. It’s a working-class area with a mix of cultures, plenty of immigrant-run shops, and the kind of energy you get when a neighborhood is actually, well, lived in. The three-star rating makes sense here because you’re paying for location and practicality, not marble lobbies. What I loved though? You’re genuinely in Milan, not tourist Milan.

Getting Around

Here’s where things get interesting — you’re actually pretty well connected to the city center. The Pasteur metro station is walkable, and honestly, I found myself using it more than I expected. Plus, there’s decent parking in the area if you’re driving, which anyone who’s tried to park in central Milan will tell you is basically a miracle. The tram lines here will get you to Porta Garibaldi or the Navigli without too much hassle.

The Space Itself

The room I stayed in was larger than most Milan hotel rooms — and I mean noticeably larger. There’s a functional kitchenette that actually works (I made coffee every morning), and the whole setup feels more like a temporary apartment than a traditional hotel stay. The Wi-Fi was solid, which matters if you’re working remotely, and the air conditioning kept things comfortable during those sticky summer days.

Why Guests Love It

What really won me over was the value proposition. You’re getting space, a real sense of Milan beyond the tourist bubble, and honestly? The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you adjust your expectations. This isn’t about thread counts or concierge services — it’s about having a comfortable base in a city where accommodation costs can be brutal. I’d definitely stay here again, especially for longer trips when you want to feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary local.

Reviews of Via Padova 165

  • Would highly recommend for short stay in Milan – Sathaporn from Thailand – 25 October 2025 (10/10)

Close to Metro Station, just few mins walk to hotel, Federica is a very kind and helpful person as I lost my cellphone at train station, she willingly helps me contacting my friend who will come to the place later, room is nice with balcony and shared kitchen is perfect, hotel offers free coffee from machine too, big supermarket is just 10 mins away

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Exceptional – Goriacheva from Germany – 15 October 2025 (10/10)

Very nice hotel with spotless, well-equipped rooms that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was exceptionally kind and hospitable, which made the experience even better. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.

  • Exceptional – Laeh from United States – 25 September 2025 (10/10)

Federica was helpful and sweet! It was a very good stat for us!

  • Superb – Francesco from Canada – 21 September 2025 (9/10)

Frederica was an excellent host. She provided a tour of the facilities and helped us in arranging transport for the following day.

What could be improved: Location was in a lower class neigborhood

  • Exceptional – Brian from Hong Kong – 20 September 2025 (10/10)

I only needed a place to sleep and didn't spend much time in the room otherwise, and the place was great for this purpose. The room was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the free coffee from the machine in the kitchen. The staff was helpful.

What could be improved: The flowery scent was a bit too intense for my liking, though not enough to bother me. Slight bit of walk from the metro station, though this is only a problem when carrying a lot of luggage.

  • Good value and accessibility – Lune from Belgium – 9 September 2025 (8/10)

Very clean, easy parking on the street, frequent buses take you to the center, warming welcome from the staff.

What could be improved: Maybe the mattress was a bit too thin for me and barely no aeration in the bathroom but that’s just detail.

  • Comfortable and clean accommodation. – Emma from Australia – 3 August 2025 (9/10)

Short bus trip into city. Simple check-in. Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Very good – Melinda from Australia – 24 July 2025 (8/10)

Housekeeping everyday! Nice air-conditioning! Super clean! Free coffee and a fully equipped kitchen!

What could be improved: The street seems a bit unsafe at night.

  • We had a nice stay for a short stay to explore the city. – Susanne from Germany – 19 July 2025 (8/10)

Nice size room, private bath room, shared kitchen.
Cool location in a real Milano area with real people living there. A couple of good restaurants and several supermarkets are in the area. Would definitely return! Space for the car, very nice.

What could be improved: There’s some noise from the rooms around and the hall/ kitchen, with a little isolation it could be improved.

  • Exceptional – Alex from United Kingdom – 30 June 2025 (10/10)

Staff were welcoming, kind and eager to help with travel information
