The Cosy Terrace of Milano- Via Sardegna Overview

First Impressions

The Cosy Terrace of Milano- Via Sardegna sits on a quiet residential street that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos, yet you’re actually just minutes from the bustling City Life district. The building itself is unassuming — honestly, I walked past it twice before spotting the small sign. But that’s part of its charm, really.

Location & Neighborhood

Via Sardegna is one of those streets where locals actually live, which means you’ll find a proper grocery store around the corner and a couple of neighborhood bars that stay open late. The three-star rating might not scream glamour, but the location is genuinely smart. You’re close enough to walk to the Fiera Milano when there’s something happening, but far enough away that you won’t hear conference crowds at breakfast.

The metro connection isn’t bad either — Amendola-Fiera is about a ten-minute walk, and from there you can reach Milan‘s center in maybe twenty minutes. I mean, it’s not like staying near the Duomo, but the trade-off in neighborhood authenticity is worth it.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully arranged, with that terrace mentioned in the name actually delivering on its promise. It’s not huge, but there’s space for morning coffee and — if you’re lucky with the weather — a bit of evening wine. The kitchenette setup is basic but functional, which comes in handy when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the local market.

Storage space is limited, so pack light if you can. The bathroom is modern enough, though the shower pressure varies depending on the time of day. WiFi worked fine throughout my stay, which honestly matters more than marble countertops when you’re trying to stay connected.

Practical Matters

There’s no on-site restaurant, but the neighborhood compensates with some genuinely good local spots within walking distance. Parking can be arranged, though street parking is also possible if you’re comfortable navigating Milan’s driving culture. The staff speaks decent English and genuinely tries to help, even if the front desk isn’t staffed around the clock.

Breakfast isn’t included, but there’s a café two blocks away that does excellent cornetti and proper Italian coffee — actually better than most hotel breakfast spreads I’ve encountered.

Why Guests Love It

This place works best for travelers who want to experience Milan like a temporary resident rather than a tourist passing through. The 7.1 rating reflects its honest approach — it’s not trying to be something it isn’t, but what it offers is genuine and well-executed. You’ll sleep well, have space to breathe, and wake up in a part of the city that feels authentically Milanese.

If you need constant room service and marble bathrooms, look elsewhere. But if you appreciate good value, a quiet night’s sleep, and the chance to explore a neighborhood where real people live and work, The Cosy Terrace of Milano delivers exactly what its name suggests.

Milan’s apartments welcome long stays with terrace views, museum access, and bike paths to hidden Leonardo da Vinci sites.

Reviews of The Cosy Terrace of Milano- Via Sardegna

  • Very nice and good quiet location. – Anne from Finland – 11 November 2024 (9/10)

Asunto oli chic ja hyvä perheelle.

  • Okay. – Aubrey from Germany – 30 December 2023 (7/10)

The elevator to the appartment was charming. Entrance to the building easy to find and navigate. Clean linen. Nice terrace, even though there is not much of a view. Washing machine in the apartment came in handy. Friendly greeting by Michael that explained all the things.

What could be improved: Very Slanted ceilings (rooftop apartment). Small bathroom that needs some tlc in the deep cleaning department. Not enough hand soap or toilet paper for 2 people for a week.

  • Superb – Thibault from France – 11 November 2023 (9/10)

Quiet apartment, well located, well equipped

  • Exceptional – Victoria from Ireland – 26 October 2023 (10/10)

What could be improved: Lift switched off in evening..we would come back late after show and have trek. Up many many flights of stairs

  • Very good – Jeffrey from United Kingdom – 25 September 2023 (8/10)

Nicely located for walking to the city centre. The apartment itself was great and spacious. The double bed was nice and cozy. Just be aware if you are tall, watch out for the ceiling. Otherwise it was a great stay. Will stay again if I go back to Milan.

  • Think twice before you book it – Andrei from Poland – 30 July 2023 (5/10)

Location is great, the rest is doubtful.

What could be improved: Bad contact with an owner. They ask to send you private data to a cleanbnb portal saying it is mandatory to get the check-in instructions. I don't like my passport details to be submitted to any services except booking.com. afterwards they send just the telephone number and it's now your business to get the proper details. The housekeepers are not very much interested in your schedule/plans. You have be there at the time you were told and wait for anyone to arrive. It's normal for them not to answer your calls or messages. And BTW, there was a broken glass pieces on the floor, so we had to use our first aid kit after got in. Internet was off, but that's minor.

  • Superb – Feargal from United Kingdom – 17 July 2023 (9/10)

location was great for a longer stay, plenty of nearby restaurants, bars and tube stations

  • Good – Farnaz from United Kingdom – 5 June 2023 (7/10)

The property was in a very good location. It was very clean. Jakub was very helpful and friendly.

What could be improved: The only downside was the steps. The property was located on the 5th floor but the lift was only going to the 4th floor. There are several steps and a long corridor to get to the property which was not convenient with kids and pushchairs.

  • Superb – Minttu from Finland – 20 May 2023 (9/10)

It was clean and the landlord was very friendly.

  • moderate – Murat from Turkey – 20 March 2023 (7/10)

The house is very comfortable for a family

What could be improved: It is far from the city center
