Maybe five minutes if you’re taking your time. What really sold me though was how easy it was to grab the metro — Duomo station connects you to basically everywhere you’d want to go.

The Apartment Experience

These aren’t your typical hotel rooms — each apartment feels more like staying at a well-designed friend’s place. The kitchen actually works (I mean, really works), which is perfect if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the nearby markets. My room had floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the Duomo’s spires beautifully, especially when they light it up at night. The furnishings strike this nice balance between modern comfort and Italian style — think clean lines but with character.

Practical Matters

What I appreciated most was how the staff handled the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Check-in was smooth, they actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give solid recommendations, and the WiFi worked perfectly for video calls (trust me, I tested it extensively). The building’s quiet too, which surprised me given how central it is — good soundproofing, I guess.

This place works because it gets the fundamentals right without trying too hard to impress. You’re not paying for a fancy lobby or a spa you’ll never use — you’re paying for a great location, comfortable space, and the freedom to experience Milan like you actually live there.   My husband and I stayed in this apartment for 3 nights and had a great time. I truly believe this apartment offers the best location and view of Milan, situated right in the heart of the Duomo with two windows overlooking it (though the view is partially obstructed by concrete plant pots and a metal structure designed to prevent birds from perching). You simply can't find a better location.
  
  The apartment provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bed is extremely comfortable and cozy, and the check-in process was seamless. The building has a lift, but it only goes to the 3rd floor, requiring you to walk up one more flight of stairs to reach the 4th floor—making it unsuitable for those with mobility issues.
  
  While the kitchen is small and basic, it's adequately equipped for a short stay. The location is unbeatable, offering views of the Duomo and the Galleria at any time without leaving the apartment. The sound insulation is excellent too—despite the noise outside, it's peaceful inside once the windows are closed. Overall, this apartment is a fantastic find and perfect for anyone wanting the best location for exploring Milan.
  
  What could be improved: My only complaint is the bathroom, especially the shower. It's very small, making it difficult and uncomfortable for larger individuals or pregnant women to use. The owner should consider upgrading this feature, but if you don't mind small showers, you should be fine.

  Could be the best view of the Duomo…period! That said, it was also a very nice apartment, with a very comfortable bed a good sitting area. Bathroom was a good size, minus the shower door and kitchen was generous. The antique elevator up to the 4th floor (unit was another flight up) was really cool.

  What could be improved: In a top place like this I would have expected to have everything I need concerning shower and something better than the cheapest. It’s not a youth hostel!! Savings in the wrong spot produces a bad mood.
  The shower is extremely tiny: so people with more than 100 kg stay away you might not get inside the shower.
  The kitchen is fully designed for the eye but not for the use. You don’t have any thing not even a towel, no salt and pepper mill which could be expected in such a highend place. If you want to cook you have to buy everything from the scratch.
  Additionally it would be nice to have a mirror outside of the bathroom when your dress. Isn’t it fashion town ?
