Easylife – Milano – G Emiliani 1 113 – Porta Romana Overview

First Impressions

Easylife – Milano – G Emiliani 1 113 – Porta Romana sits on a quiet residential street that feels genuinely Milanese — you know, the kind where locals walk their dogs and chat with neighbors. The building itself is understated, which I actually appreciated after staying at some overly flashy places. It’s a three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s refreshing in a city where everything can feel a bit performative.

Location & Neighborhood

Porta Romana is one of those neighborhoods that tourists often overlook, but locals love for good reason. You’re about a 15-minute tram ride from the Duomo, which means you can easily hit the main sights without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the center. There’s a fantastic morning market just a few blocks away on Via San Gottardo — I stumbled across it on my second day and ended up buying the best peaches I’ve had in years.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but thoughtfully designed, with everything I actually needed and nothing I didn’t. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a mid-range place, and the shower had proper water pressure — something you can’t always count on in Milan. What really stood out was the little kitchenette setup; just a mini-fridge, microwave, and some basic dishes, but it meant I could grab groceries from that market I mentioned and have breakfast on my own schedule.

Practical Details

The Wi-Fi actually worked reliably (I had video calls without issues), and the air conditioning kept things comfortable during a particularly warm week in July. There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, you’re in Milan — why would you eat hotel food when you could walk five minutes to some incredible local spots? The staff speaks decent English and gave me solid recommendations, including a tiny trattoria around the corner that serves the kind of risotto that ruins you for anywhere else.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t the place for Instagram-worthy lobby shots or elaborate amenities. What it offers is something more valuable: a genuine taste of how Milan actually feels when you’re not fighting crowds at every turn. The apartment-style setup gives you independence, the neighborhood gives you authenticity, and the price point means you can spend your money on better pasta and wine instead of inflated hotel rates. I’d definitely stay here again — it just works.

Reviews of Easylife – Milano – G Emiliani 1 113 – Porta Romana

  • Very good – Ana from Serbia – 9 October 2025 (8/10)

The apartment is well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is located in a nice area, conveniently close to a metro station, making it easy to explore the city.

What could be improved: The apartment was quite cold since the heating season hadn't yet started in Milan. The building doesn't get much sunlight, so it stayed cooler inside despite warm days outside. The problem was the AC which didn't work and staff didn't fix it during our stay. Also, the power switch is faulty and takes some effort and luck to turn on, which was a bit annoying.

  • Very convenient and we really enjoyed the neighbourhood. Communication was easy. – Larissa from Germany – 3 July 2025 (8/10)

Very convenient and we really enjoyed the neighbourhood. Communication was easy.

  • Very good – Katrina from Australia – 1 July 2025 (8/10)

Great location, close to metro and lots of local eateries. Comfortable spacious apartment.

What could be improved: The air conditioning was very noisy. No TV in the living area. Only an older TV in bedroom.

  • Everything was as expected. Everything looked like in the pictures, it was clean, and the location was good. – Andreea from Romania – 19 May 2025 (10/10)

    All

What could be improved: Everything ok.

What could be improved: A little bit noisy

  • Exceptional – Bogdan from Romania – 26 February 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: We didn't have any problem 😊

  • Terrible staff communication experience – Nickolas from Portugal – 18 October 2024 (7/10)

    Location

What could be improved: I had a very frustrating experience with Easylife. I accidentally left my bag at the apartment and contacted them. Despite my repeated efforts to reach out, they seemed to ignore my concerns. It took several phone calls and follow-ups over days before they finally acknowledged the situation and returned my bag. The lack of communication and disregard for customer service was really disappointing.

  • Very comfortable and smooth stay, would recommend. – Anna from Germany – 18 August 2024 (9/10)

Owner provided us with thorough and easily understandable info on check-in, how to get to the apartment and anything else we might need during our stay.
Everything went smoothly; flat was very clean upon arrival and well equipped (hair-dryer, clothing iron, ironing board, drying rack, laundry detergent, pots, coffee machine, air conditioning (!) etc.). Owner was quick to answer our message when we had a question.
We felt very comfortable and the area and building was nice too. Just a few minutes walk to the next metro station, only a 6 min metro ride to the city centre.
We felt the apartment was quite modern, all the furniture was in good condition and the appliances worked well. The bathroom was quite nice, and the flat felt big enough for two people.

What could be improved: Only a few things. We would have liked two blankets instead of one. There was only one roll of toilet paper, which did last until the day of checkout, but another would have been nice just in case. In the bedroom you could sometimes hear an ongoing noise that sounded like a washing machine next door – I did not mind as we were usually not home during the day and it did not disturb my sleep, but it might be more noticable to others.
Overall a very good stay; all of these things were very minor.

  • Very good – Enrico from United Kingdom – 27 May 2023 (8/10)

Great location, only a few minutes walk from Porta Romana metro station and close to plenty of bars, restaurant and shops. Property is pretty much at the corner of the main thoroughfare but, as someone else said, the apartment fate the internal courtyard, so there is no traffic noise. Kitchen fairly well equipped, shower is OK (although water pressure not the best) and bed is comfortable.

What could be improved: There really should be more complimentary items! Kitchen: coffee machine but no coffee pods, no kitchen towel. Bathroom: two soap bars but no shampoo or shower gel. The apartment is quiet but there appears to be no insulation whatsoever with the apartment above – somehow the neighbours seemed to start stomping around the flat very loudly (occasionally with what sounded like people dropping full weight to the floor…) at around 11pm at night. TV digital channel reception is poor.

  • Superb – Aliaksandr from Belarus – 14 May 2023 (9/10)

Very fast internet, good location, helpful administrator

What could be improved: you can hear neighbors steps one floor above you
