Easylife – Milano – San Marco 1 – Brera Overview
First Impressions
Easylife – Milano – San Marco 1 – Brera sits right in the heart of one of Milan’s most charming neighborhoods, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. When I first walked up to the building on Via San Marco, I was struck by how authentically Milanese it felt — no flashy signage or tourist traps in sight, just a solid apartment-style building that blends seamlessly into the historic Brera district. The entrance is understated in that effortlessly Italian way that suggests you’ve found something locals actually know about.
The Brera Advantage
You know what’s great about staying in Milan‘s Brera area? You’re walking distance from the Pinacoteca di Brera art gallery, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by those narrow cobblestone streets lined with antique shops and wine bars that make Milan feel less like a business city and more like a place people actually live. The Navigli canals are a pleasant 15-minute stroll south, and if you’re into shopping (this is Milan, after all), you can walk to the Quadrilatero della Moda in about 20 minutes. The Metro’s close by too, though honestly, I found myself walking most places from here.
The Space Itself
This three-star property operates more like serviced apartments than a traditional hotel, which I actually preferred. My room had a small kitchenette setup — nothing fancy, but perfect for making morning coffee or storing those amazing cheeses you’ll inevitably buy at the local markets. The space felt practical rather than luxurious, with modern furnishings that won’t win any design awards but definitely won’t disappoint either. The Wi-Fi worked well (crucial for staying connected), and the air conditioning was reliable during my summer visit.
Neighborhood Life
What I loved most was stepping outside each morning and feeling like I was part of the neighborhood rhythm. There’s a fantastic local restaurant just two blocks away — Trattoria della Gloria — where I ended up eating three times because the risotto was that good. The morning cappuccino ritual at Bar San Marco (literally around the corner) became my daily routine, and the barista started remembering my order by day four. Parking can be tricky in this area if you’re driving, but really, you don’t need a car when you’re this centrally located.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense once you understand what Easylife delivers — it’s reliable, well-positioned, and offers genuine value in an expensive city. I mean, you’re not getting marble bathrooms or a concierge service, but you are getting a clean, comfortable base in one of Milan’s most authentic neighborhoods. For travelers who want to experience Milan like a temporary resident rather than a tourist, this place hits the mark. The combination of Brera’s artistic charm and the practical apartment-style accommodation creates something that feels distinctly Milanese — unpretentious but quietly sophisticated.

Very spacious apartment, even bigger than the photos show. Good location in Brera
What could be improved: A little noisy in the evening but not too bad.Good apartment near to centeral part, but super noisy. – Mariam from Armenia – 4 June 2025 (8/10)
It was clean and comfortable. Near to the center of city.
What could be improved: From bedroom it was okay but for people who slept at the sofa it was terrible noisy. There is a pub in front of leaving room window which is closing at 1:30. And it was impossible to sleep.Exceptional – Bernardine from Australia – 11 December 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: No hot water in the showerVery good – Gary from United States – 18 October 2024 (8/10)
What breakfast?
The location.
What could be improved: Two or three sets of towels. One set is not enough for a stay of one werk. Instructions on which outlets worked for recharging devices. A number for a reliable taxi service. Instructions to turn on the heat.Good – Arlene from New Zealand – 11 October 2024 (7/10)
The apartment is beautifully furnished in a great area of Milan close to bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay there, it was very comfortable.
What could be improved: Unfortunately we had no hot water for our stay and so had cold showers. Also were confusing instructions on how to enter the apartment.Exceptional – Jianhua from United States – 11 September 2024 (10/10)
Spacious apartment in excellent location. The most delightful part of the Brera is one block away from the apartment complex. Owner very accommodating and friendly. Definitely recommend!
Great – Grzesznik from United States – 24 August 2024 (9/10)
The location was wonderful a block away from Brera restaurants and very close to the historical Sforza castle. Love the street market on Monday morning on Via San Marco.
The apartment is very luxurious and comfortable. It would be nice if it had a pull out sofa as there is enough space for family of 3-4.
What could be improved: The instructions to get in after hours were unclear, but luckily the property manager was close by to help.Superb – Amir from Switzerland – 30 December 2023 (9/10)
Spacious apartment. Great location.

Very nice apartment in great location – Dirk from Italy – 12 February 2023 (8/10)
Very nice apartment, everything is new, feels bright and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen. climate control system works well.
Great location in Brera district with lots of places to eat out and easy walk to sights.
Easy communication – even late at night when we had trouble with the keys.
What could be improved: Missing some simple things like dish soap and paper towels in the kitchen, and a soap dish in the bathroom.
Has electric metal shutters, but they don’t completely block the noise from nearby bars.
Two single mattresses on a queen size bed frame.
No flexibility on checkout time, no luggage storage.
