When I first walked up to the building on Via Privata Chioggia, I almost missed it — there’s no flashy signage, just a subtle entrance that blends right into the Milanese streetscape. This four-star property really lives up to its “cozy” promise, though it’s the kind of cozy that comes with all the modern touches you’d actually want.

The Space

Each apartment here feels like borrowing a friend’s well-appointed place rather than staying in a traditional hotel room. The layouts are smart — you know how some places waste space with awkward corners? Not here. My unit had a proper kitchen setup with everything I needed to make morning coffee or heat up leftovers from the amazing trattoria down the street. The living areas actually invite you to spread out, and I found myself working from the dining table instead of hunched over a tiny hotel desk.

Location & Neighborhood

This part of Milan is what locals call the Isola district — it’s gotten trendy in recent years but hasn’t lost its authentic feel. You’re about a 10-minute walk to Porta Garibaldi station, which connects you to basically everywhere you need to go. But honestly, I ended up exploring the immediate area more than I expected. There’s this fantastic restaurant called Ratanà just a few blocks away, and the morning markets nearby have that real Milan energy you don’t get around the Duomo.

Daily Life Here

What I appreciated most was how the place handles the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. The parking situation is sorted (which, if you know Milan, is no small thing), and the staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations. They pointed me toward a little bakery that I never would’ve found otherwise — the kind where you practice your Italian with the owner’s nonna who’s usually behind the counter.

Why Guests Love It

I think people keep coming back here because it strikes that rare balance between independence and service. You get the space and freedom of having your own place, but there’s always someone to help when you need it. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you consider that it delivers exactly what it promises — no overpromising, no letdowns. It’s particularly great if you’re staying for more than a couple nights or traveling with family, since everyone can have their own space without feeling cramped. Plus, living like a temporary Milanese resident, even for a few days, beats the usual hotel experience every time.

  We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean, convenient and had everything we needed. The location is great — only a short 4-minute walk to the metro, very close to Linate Airport, and about 10 minutes by Uber to Milano Centrale. You can see the train tracks behind the property but there was absolutely no train noise.
  
  Our only note is that the metro doesn’t go directly to Centrale, so with suitcases it was easier to take an Uber. Overall, the price, comfort and convenience made this a great stay, and we would happily book again.

  Nice and quite place , 3-4 minutes from Metro Turro .At 10 minutes you can go to : Duomo , Scala do Mila no , Brera (artists place and Pinakoteca ). IF you want you can explore Mila no , its near to everything!!!!
  Clean place , we didnt see somebody as we stay BUT they fix everything for us , before us😉😉😉
  ONLY one request to the owner : please leave more plastic bags for the garbiges and more toilet paper.

  It was all ok and close to the Metro!

  Location is Very Good and not distant from the subway station TURRO. A popular supermarket chain is within walking distance, too. The rooms were modernly furnished with motorised louvres.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately have been overcharged by a minimarket "K_h_ minimarket" that is very close on the first night and was too tired and late to complain (This is beyond the stay's responsibility). The tenants before us left some damage on the refrigerator, and some improved cleaning and bathroom accessories would have made the stay more enjoyable; the AC also failed a day or two after we arrived.

  Good location – to local restaurants and Red Line metro. Easy to get around. The property was modern, noise free and comfortable. Great for a wee-long stay.

  Location, close to the metro line M1 so well conected. All the service store you need around the block. Supermarkets, Bakery, Caffeterias, etc. Easy to check in and check out.
  
  What could be improved: Was smelling cigarret, the bed was not confortable at all for us and it was a kind of long aluminiun profile piece laying in the shower that was not safe. Lack of cleaning implements suchas a brown, vaccum, desinfection cleaning for the bathroom. We did not use anything for cooking neither the coffee machine so can not say if that was ok.

  The bed and pillow covers were clean however the pillow filling needs washing

  Check in was very good and smooth.
  Apartment was clean.
  Furniture were new and clean.
  Kitchen was small but good and functional.
  
  What could be improved: Noise isolation seems not to be a thing in Italy as it was easy to hear people whispering from the other room. Traffic outside is loud and audible even with windows closed.
  
  Take your own toilet paper if you're thinking to stay here.
  We booked 5 nights stay for 4 people and they left us only 2 pieces of toilet paper. We asked for it and they gave us two more and declined to give us more saying **it was a courtesy from them and they wont be giving us any more toilet paper**
  
  There was no information on how to dispose off trash and we had to dispose it off ourselves. They came to pick up once unannounced and we were not there.
  
  Heating doesn't work or atleast we couldnt make it work. Aircon on the other hand was working fine when needed.
