That said, this four-star hotel sits on a quieter side street that feels more authentic than touristy. You’re a solid 15-minute metro ride to the Duomo, and honestly, having that direct connection to Malpensa Airport via the express train is worth its weight in gold when you’re lugging suitcases around.

The Room Experience

My room was larger than I expected — Milan hotels aren’t exactly known for spacious accommodations, but Golden Prestige manages to make things feel open and airy. The design leans contemporary with warm wood accents, and the bed was genuinely comfortable (sometimes you never know with European hotels). The bathroom was modern and well-lit, though if you’re tall, watch your head in the shower — it’s a minor thing, but worth mentioning.

Daily Comforts

The breakfast situation is solid without being spectacular — fresh pastries, decent coffee, and enough variety to keep you satisfied. There’s a small restaurant on-site that serves dinner, though I’d honestly recommend exploring the neighborhood for authentic Milanese dining. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay smooth, and their English is excellent, which makes a difference when you need local recommendations or help with logistics.

  Great location, amenities and very tastefully decorated, very functional flat.
  
  What could be improved: The internet didn't work and it wasn't fixed in the 4 days I stayed in the flat. I was given a different entrance code than currently valid. The email I was supposed to receive has never reached me, so it would be great to check with guests in advance if they have received the info.

  The location is very very practical for Milan because its close to the centrale train station – the apartment is modern and nicely decorated and has all the things you need for a short stay! the check-in/check-out process is very smooth thanks to the key lock that is available and the apartment is located in a lovely area: safe and surrounded by nice restaurants and bars. The apartment easily accommodated 3 adults and a child but we were only staying a short weekend – for larger groups staying a longer period of time I would just highlight that the space is limited especially if the second bed is open!
  
  What could be improved: We realized quite soon that the shower was not draining : we stayed only two nights and over the weekend so we understand it was not possible to fix it right away but in the future I would advice the hosts to double check this detail as it could make a longer stay really unpractical.
  Being located on the ground floor/courtyard the apartment is not very luminous – again as mentioned we stayed for two nights only and mostly just slept there so it was not a problem but it might be important for visitors planning a longer stay to be aware

  The modern decor and loft. The fullness of the kitchen dispute it’s size. The bathroom/shower was great. The beds were great to sleep well. The first floor access and the beautiful entry way from the street.
  
  What could be improved: It was a bit tight for us 3 to move around comfortably when the Murphy bed was down. Couldn’t stand the drying rack outside to benefit from the heat for quick dry. The guard knocked on our door and shook his finger to say not allowed. I ticked it in on the side behind a bush but still not allowed. The climatic was great but needed some time if we turned it off while out.
