First Impressions

When I first walked into Heart Milan Apartments Duomo District, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another apartment rental. But you know what? This four-star property completely changed my mind about serviced apartments in Milan. The thing is, they’ve scattered these units across different buildings in the city center, which means you’re not stuck in some touristy hotel bubble — you’re actually living like a local.

Location & Getting Around

The Duomo District location is pretty incredible, I mean, you can literally walk to the cathedral in minutes from most of their apartments. What I loved is how each building sits on a different street, so depending on which apartment you get, you might be closer to La Scala or maybe right near the Quadrilatero fashion district. The metro stations are everywhere around here — Duomo, Cordusio, San Babila — so getting around Milan is actually easier than I expected.

The Apartments

Each unit feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. The kitchen setup varies between apartments, but mine had everything I needed to make morning coffee and even cook a simple dinner with ingredients from the nearby markets. The decor is modern but not cold — sort of that Milanese minimalism that somehow still feels warm. Honestly, the 9.3 rating makes sense when you realize how much space you get compared to traditional hotel rooms in this part of the city.

Daily Life & Amenities

What struck me most was how normal everything felt. There’s no fancy lobby or concierge desk, but the digital check-in process worked perfectly, and the local contact person responded quickly when I had questions. Some buildings have parking available (though you’ll pay extra for it in central Milan), and a few locations even include access to shared terraces with surprisingly good views of the city skyline.

Why Guests Love It

I get why this place scores so well with travelers. You’re getting authentic Milan living without sacrificing comfort or location. The apartments give you flexibility to eat in or out, and there’s something refreshing about having your own front door key instead of a plastic hotel card. Plus, when you’re staying right in the Duomo District, you can duck home between sightseeing sessions — which trust me, you’ll want to do after walking around Milan’s cobblestones all day.

  Conveniently located with the Duomo just a short walk, lovely restaurants, gelato & a grocery store my lil so close by. The apartment was a perfect fit for me and my two adult sons. Clean, chic and all the amenities one could need. I will recommend and hope to stay again.

  The location can’t be beat. 5 min walk to the Duomo and metro lines! The apartment had everything you would need – well stocked kitchen, coffee, salt/pepper, etc. Bathroom and kitchen were pretty much one person at a time but everyone worked and was fine. Location near the Carre Four Express to get groceries was a huge win.
  
  What could be improved: Could have used an ironing board and iron but that is a very minor complaint. Pull out sofa was not very comfortable to sit on but it was functional.

  Friendly staff, very helpful. And the apartment is spotless location is few minutes walking to the Duomo.
