Hotel Perugino Overview
First Impressions
Hotel Perugino sits on a quiet residential street that honestly feels more like a neighborhood secret than a tourist zone. When I first walked up to the entrance, I was struck by how the building blends into the surrounding area — it’s not trying to be flashy or announce itself with dramatic signage. The lobby has this understated elegance that immediately tells you this is a well-run three-star property that knows exactly what it’s doing.
The Neighborhood Feel
What I love about this location is that you’re staying in actual Milan, not some sanitized hotel district. Porta Vittoria has this authentic residential vibe where you’ll see locals walking their dogs and grabbing morning coffee at the corner bar. The area isn’t Instagram-famous, but that’s exactly why it works — you get a real sense of how Milanese people actually live. There’s a small grocery store two blocks away where the owner remembers your face by the third visit.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — every inch serves a purpose without feeling cramped. The beds are surprisingly comfortable for a mid-range property, and the bathroom, while not huge, has excellent water pressure (which honestly matters more than marble countertops). The soundproofing is solid too, which you’ll appreciate since Milan can get pretty lively in the evenings. Small touch that impressed me: they actually provide decent hangers, not those flimsy things that fall apart.
Practical Comforts
The hotel restaurant serves a straightforward breakfast that hits all the basics — good espresso, fresh pastries, and some protein options. Nothing fancy, but it’s exactly what you need before heading out to explore the city. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood well, and they’ll steer you toward the better local spots instead of just handing you a generic tourist map. I mean, they told me about this tiny trattoria around the corner that I never would’ve discovered otherwise.
Why Guests Love It
Hotel Perugino works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. You’re getting solid comfort, a genuine Milan neighborhood experience, and staff who treat you like a person rather than a room number. The 8.3 rating makes perfect sense — it’s not going to wow you with amenities, but it delivers consistently on the things that actually matter when you’re exploring a city. Plus, you’ll save money compared to staying in the touristy center, and honestly, that authentic neighborhood feel is worth more than any fancy lobby.

Reviews of Hotel Perugino
Very good – Alex from United States – 16 November 2025 (8/10)
Nice place and friendly staff. Location a bit away from all the touristy places but that is also reflected in the price. We enjoyed a brief, 30 min walk to the heart of the city.

What could be improved: Noise from the street early morning. Can't be avoided in a city centre. Earplugs are Available at receptionPerfect place for a weekend break – Paul from United Kingdom – 13 October 2025 (8/10)
Great staff, very helpful and always available. . The hotel issued an excellent travel information document, which was very useful. They also arranged airport transfer, which is essential if you have an early flight, I don't think you could use public transport to get to Malpensa before 0800. You can easily get to Milan centre by tram or bus within 30 mins and there are a number of great bars and restaurants within 5 mins of the hotel. Idea hotel for a long weekend.
What could be improved: The hotel is a little small, especially the room, although it is perfectly liveable. Breakfast is great but if it's busy it can be a little cramped.Very nice hotel. – Miglena from Bulgaria – 22 September 2025 (9/10)
