Hotel Soperga Overview

First Impressions

Hotel Soperga sits on a quiet side street just steps from Milano Centrale — and honestly, that’s exactly where you want to be. The building itself has that classic Milanese residential feel, nothing flashy, but there’s something reassuring about walking into a place that doesn’t try too hard. The lobby’s compact but well-maintained, and the staff actually seem to remember guests’ faces after a day or two.

Location That Actually Makes Sense

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally a three-minute walk from one of Europe’s busiest train stations, but Via Soperga feels like a proper neighborhood street. Milan‘s main shopping district is maybe fifteen minutes by metro, but honestly, I found myself walking there most days because the route takes you through some interesting parts of the city most tourists miss. The Porta Garibaldi area is close enough that you can grab dinner at those trendy spots without paying for a taxi back.

The Room Experience

My room was on the third floor — small but thoughtfully laid out, which seems to be the Milano way. The bed was actually comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss that can be), and the bathroom had been recently updated with decent water pressure. What surprised me was how quiet it stayed at night, considering how close we are to the station. The air conditioning worked well during my July visit, which honestly saved the whole experience.

Daily Rhythms

The breakfast situation is pretty straightforward — continental style in a bright little room on the ground floor. Nothing fancy, but they do proper Italian coffee and the pastries are from a local bakery. I actually preferred starting my day here rather than fighting the crowds at the station cafés. There’s a small restaurant area, though I never tried dinner there since Milan’s food scene was calling my name every evening.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

This three-star place gets it right by focusing on the basics that matter. The location means you can store your luggage, explore the city, and catch early trains without stress. Street parking is typically Milano impossible, but the hotel staff know which nearby garages offer decent rates. It’s the kind of place where you realize that sometimes a well-run, no-nonsense hotel beats a fancy one with attitude problems — and your wallet definitely appreciates the difference when you’re spending your money on the city instead.

Hotels near me in Milan deliver easy walks to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Sforza Castle, and charming cobblestone piazzas.

Reviews of Hotel Soperga

  • Very good – Helena from United Kingdom – 3 December 2025 (8/10)

An ideal location for rail travellers, with a touch of quality

What could be improved: Unlucky to have noisy neighbours on the second night

  • Superb – Benjamin from United States – 2 December 2025 (9/10)

Met my expectation, the Staff were friendly

  • We had a nice time. The hotel is a short walk to the train/metro, so very easy to get around the city. The breakfa – Michelle from United States – 26 November 2025 (9/10)

It was very clean and easy to access the Metro and train station.

What could be improved: The room was smaller than we were used to.

  • Good – Kirsty from Italy – 19 November 2025 (7/10)

    Clean and comfortable

What could be improved: Arriving midnight after a 2 hour train delay which meant I was stranded in Milan for the night, no hot drink available, bar closed and staff member advised me to go to a local bar …lone woman traveler at midnight???
Coffee/Tea making facilities in the room would be v welcome

  • A lovely hotel. – Baker from Australia – 17 November 2025 (9/10)

Hotel Soperga was a nice surprise. Modern friendly and welcoming. We had a nice big room and a huge bathroom. The bed was enormous! And quite comfy although I probably should have another for pillow as I like reading in bed.
The walk from the station is easy and felt pretty safe. The restaurant ‘Dinky’ that was ‘just around the corner’ suggested by the hotel desk manager was so so good for dinner. The food was delicious and varied with good sized portions. The staff went out of their way to assist us in English so we could understand the menu and let us know if we’d chosen wisely. A real authentic place to eat with the locals.

What could be improved: Via Soperga isn’t the most attractive street to walk along but the hotel is a lovely surprise.

  • Superb – Sadek from Egypt – 17 November 2025 (9/10)

Awesome location with a 5 mins walk to centrale station. The room was clean and the staff were super friendly.

What could be improved: Nothing major, maybe slight noise from the neighboring room.

  • Great and easy place for a stay near the Milano Centrale station – Leila from United Kingdom – 16 November 2025 (9/10)

Great location, clean, fresh nice hotel.

What could be improved: Nothing to complain about

  • Good – Matthias from Germany – 16 November 2025 (7/10)

The staff was very nice and helpful and the room spacious and clean. It’s not super close to the city centre, but as long as you use the metro, it’s still fast enough to get there.

What could be improved: The price of around 170 euros (including city tax) for one night in November was not justified by the quality of the room. For that price you could at least provide your guests with some bottles of free water once they arrive or something in that same vein.

  • Very nice, friendly staff. – Tara from United States – 13 November 2025 (8/10)

    Very nice!

What could be improved: No A/C in October.

  • Superb – Stuart from United Kingdom – 9 November 2025 (9/10)

Near train station, good facilities in room

    What could be improved: Nothing6
