Hotel Terminal Overview

First Impressions

Hotel Terminal sits right where you need it to be if you’re dealing with trains — literally a three-minute walk from Milano Centrale station. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Milan, nothing flashy but solid, and honestly that’s what you want when you’re hauling luggage after a long journey. The lobby has that practical Italian vibe, clean and efficient without trying too hard to impress.

The Location Reality

Here’s what I actually love about staying near Centrale — yeah, it’s not the prettiest neighborhood, but you’re connected to everything. The Porta Garibaldi district with its shiny skyscrapers is just two metro stops away, and getting to the Duomo takes maybe fifteen minutes on the green line. Plus, if you’re doing that classic Italy trip where you’re hopping between cities, you can literally roll out of bed and catch your train to Florence or Rome.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a three-star place — clean, functional, with that slightly firm European bed that takes a night to get used to. The air conditioning actually works (not always a given in older Milan buildings), and the bathroom is compact but does the job. Don’t expect Instagram-worthy interiors, but you’ll sleep well and the Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building.

Practical Perks

The breakfast setup is pretty standard continental fare, but they do decent coffee — which, let’s be honest, is hard to mess up in Italy. There’s a small restaurant on-site that serves basic Italian dishes, though with Milan’s food scene right outside your door, you’ll probably want to explore. The staff speaks English well enough and they’re genuinely helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Hotel Terminal isn’t going to wow you with amenities or designer touches, but it nails the fundamentals. You’re paying for location and reliability rather than frills, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. The 24-hour front desk is actually staffed (not just a sign), and they’ll hold your bags if you arrive early or need to store them after checkout. For travelers who want to spend their money on Milan’s incredible food and shopping rather than an overpriced hotel room, this place makes a lot of sense.

Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in Milan before spring brings wisteria blooms, design installations, and warm evening breezes.

Reviews of Hotel Terminal

  • Convenient Budget Stay in Milan – Anita from Canada – 7 September 2025 (8/10)

The location was near the train station and airport shuttle buses. Room was spacious. The price was reasonable for Milan. I would stay again for the convenience.

What could be improved: The bathroom was a little dated. We could hear the trains but it was not loud enough to bother us.

  • Good – Jama from Norway – 11 August 2025 (7/10)

Cleaning, service, good location very nice place

What could be improved: I paid 12 euro axtra, it is tax city said staff so two payment no good

  • Nice – Filip from Serbia – 10 August 2025 (9/10)

The Hotel is near Central station, it has good connections with the city center, it is clean, rooms are big, beds are comfortable, staff is friendly and you can leave the baggage there if you need to.

  • Superb – Shuli from China – 8 August 2025 (9/10)

The service staff has a friendly attitude.Very enthusiastic. It's very close to Central Station. If the room is prepared, u can check in before 2 p.m.

What could be improved: The sound insulation effect of the room is not very good. At night, you can hear the sound of trains

  • Superb – Francisco from Spain – 4 August 2025 (9/10)

It was a good option for staying near the train station. The room is quite big and the beds are comfortable.

What could be improved: Some reviews mentioned the breakfast as a plus, but for me it was the opposite. It had many options, but most of them were of bad quality (e.g. the coffee) or sometimes not refilled. Too many sweet options only.

  • Very good – Emiliano from Uruguay – 3 August 2025 (8/10)

It was comfortable, clean and very nice. The location isn’t very centric but really close to the train station and the metro to the city centre.

  • A good test in a clean quiet place, continuing in with travels. – Stamatia from Australia – 27 July 2025 (8/10)

Easy to get to to from train station.
Easy to access rest of Milan and airport bus transfer.

  • Superb – Vivik from Norway – 7 July 2025 (9/10)

    Close to train station

  • Perfect choice for a practical staying in Miland – Renan from Brazil – 9 April 2025 (9/10)

Perfect location, very close to Miland Central Station and close to nice neighborhoods. For hotel’s proposal, best possible choice. Staff was great, answered all our demands when possible

What could be improved: Metro noises during night, expected due to location. Nothing that affected our experience though.
