The building itself has that classic Milanese charm — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming. I mean, you’re staying in what’s essentially a well-appointed apartment rather than a traditional hotel, which gives the whole experience a more authentic feel.

Location & Neighborhood

The Navigli area is where Milan really comes alive after dark. You’ve got the famous canals designed by Leonardo da Vinci just steps away, lined with aperitivo bars and trattorias that locals actually frequent. During the day, it’s surprisingly quiet — perfect for wandering with your morning coffee. The Porta Genova metro station is about a ten-minute walk, so getting to the Duomo or shopping districts is straightforward enough.

The Space

What I really appreciated about this three-star property is how they’ve set up each unit. Your room feels more like a small Milan flat than a hotel space — there’s a proper kitchenette with everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the local market and cook something simple. The Wi-Fi actually works well (you know how hit-or-miss that can be), and the beds are comfortable without being anything extraordinary. Storage space is decent, though you’ll want to pack light if you’re planning shopping sprees.

Daily Life

There isn’t a traditional hotel restaurant or breakfast service, but that’s honestly part of the charm. You’re living like a temporary Milanese resident — grab pastries from the bakery downstairs, or duck into one of the neighborhood cafés for proper espresso. The staff is helpful when you need them but otherwise leaves you to your own devices, which I found refreshing after staying in more hands-on properties.

This place works because it gives you independence without sacrificing comfort. The 8-point rating makes sense — it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities, but it delivers exactly what it promises. You’re paying for location and authenticity rather than marble bathrooms or concierge services.   The location was great. Definitely more of a place for a group of friends than a family. Grocery store near by for all supplies.
  
  What could be improved: Air con wasn't that great and kept falling out of the windows sockets. The motor part of the ac units is located on the deck, so the kitchen was UNBEARABLY hot. We had to sit in the small living room, with a fans blowing and all doors open with air cons on. Kitchen was also lacking in coffee supplies, but we made do.

  Perfect place for young group of friends/couples or family. 4 room and a big table in a fully equipped kitchen. The apartment's location is good and just 15 minutes walk from Navigli canals.

  What could be improved: Important is to note that the city tax is not included. For us on booking.com this was not mentioned (booking charged us in full and mentioned it includes all taxes and fees) so remained a hidden cost.
  
  Also important to note that checkin is 25 minutes walk from the actual apartment in an office. I never had to do this kind of checkin. Very uncomfortable if you also want to drop your bags you should drop in that office and then go there and pick up and take it to the apartment. This was also not mentioned on booking and has extra hassle (only found this out after the nonrefundable booking confirmed). Takes 1 hour of your time to get there and come back to the apartment.
  
  Kitchen stove lighter was broken. We only noticed this around 10pm when all shops were closed and we had prepared everything for dinner. This was obviously an old problem with the gas stove and was not fixed. They could have provided a lighter or matches but there was nothing so we were left in … the first night.
  
  Although the apartment has a washer and dishwasher, there are no detergents provided so as a tourist they expect that you go buy a pack of these for your 1 or 2 night stays!! I don't know what happens to the left over from previous tenants! Strange that they said they can't provide these because the law prohibits this! I don't think there is any law prohibiting hosts from providing basic essential things like detergents, in all othe rentals in italy we had detergents provided.
  
  The living room is very small,. Only has a sofa for 2 persons where as we were 7.
  
  Overall I won't recommend it.

  My wife and I stayed at this apartment for one night. It was just perfect for us. The location could not have been better, it was walking distance to everything we wanted to do and see. The apartment itself is well furnished, comfortable, light and airy. Highly recommend.

  What could be improved: The frontman contronted us when entering the properties and threatened to call police if the owner will not acompany us to the premises. It was a terrible first impression and experience after a long trip.
