Italianway-Poma Overview
First Impressions
Italianway-Poma sits on a quiet residential street in Milan’s Porta Vittoria neighborhood, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This three-star property feels more like staying in a well-appointed apartment than a traditional hotel — which makes sense since it’s part of the Italianway collection of serviced accommodations. The building itself is typical Milanese architecture, nothing flashy, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
Location & Neighborhood
Porta Vittoria isn’t touristy, and I mean that in the best possible way. You’re living alongside actual Milanese residents, with local cafés and markets just around the corner. The Porta Vittoria metro station is about a 7-minute walk — I’ve timed it — and from there you can reach the Duomo in roughly 15 minutes. There’s this great little restaurant called Osteria del Borgo literally two blocks away that serves incredible risotto alla milanese, the kind locals actually eat.
The Space
Each unit comes with its own kitchen, which honestly saved me a fortune during my stay. The room layouts vary, but mine had a separate living area that didn’t feel cramped — rare for Milan, where space is premium. The furnishing is modern but not sterile, sort of that Scandinavian-meets-Italian aesthetic that actually works. Wi-Fi was solid throughout (I was working remotely), and the air conditioning kept up even during that brutal July heat wave.
Practical Matters
Here’s something you don’t always get in central Milan — there’s actually parking available, though you’ll want to book it in advance. The staff operates more like property managers than traditional hotel reception, which took some getting used to, but they’re responsive via WhatsApp and email. Check-in was smooth once I figured out the key pickup process (they send clear instructions beforehand). The washing machine in my unit was a lifesaver for a longer stay.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t about fancy amenities or concierge service — it’s about having your own space in a real Milan neighborhood without paying boutique hotel prices. The value proposition is solid, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights. You get the independence of an apartment with the reliability of a managed property. Plus, that morning routine of grabbing espresso from the bar downstairs like a proper Milanese? That’s worth the booking alone.
Locals suggest to book apartments in Milan around Porta Romana for vintage markets, trattoria spots, and tree-lined avenues.

Comfortable nice place but couple simple things could have made it amazing – Mariana from Ireland – 16 August 2024 (7/10)
The location was great. The property was great for light and perfect for a couples stay
What could be improved: There was spare pillows but no sheets or cases to go with them and they were a bit dirty. There was only a couple rolls of loo roll for left for us. It would have been nice to have a couple bottle of water when arrived alsoEverything is great – Ulkar from Azerbaijan – 8 August 2024 (10/10)

Great location, modern building and safe! Really good! – Nenad from Serbia – 18 June 2024 (10/10)
It was a pleasure to stay at the place, parking is little bit problematic because the 90% of parking places is for residents only, which is totally normal for the central location of the property. Anyway, underground garage is 500m from the place and it is 30Eur/day. Also around are all important public transport stations and zones with electric sharing scooters and cars.
What could be improved: I am really not a tourist who searching for details but more cleaning attention in toilet would be good. But really have nothing negative about the place!Very good – Karolína from Czech Republic – 8 May 2024 (8/10)
Všechno čisté, pohodlná postel, vybavena kuchyň, blízko tramvajová zastávka. Do centra trochu dal, ale pěkná prochazka.
