Kibilù – Viale Andrea Doria – Corso Buenos Aires – Porta Venezia – Centro Città Overview

First Impressions

When I first walked up to Kibilù – Viale Andrea Doria – Corso Buenos Aires – Porta Venezia – Centro Città, I’ll be honest — the name is a mouthful, but it actually tells you everything you need to know about where you are. This three-star place sits right on Viale Andrea Doria, and you’re basically at the crossroads of some of Milan‘s most happening neighborhoods. The building itself has that classic Milanese charm without trying too hard, and the lobby feels more like a stylish friend’s place than a corporate hotel.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re a short walk from Stazione Centrale, which means you can actually get here from the airports without wanting to cry over taxi fees. But more importantly, you’re positioned between Corso Buenos Aires (shopping heaven) and the artsy Porta Venezia area. I mean, you can grab aperitivo in Porta Venezia’s trendy bars one evening and hunt for vintage finds along Corso Buenos Aires the next morning. The metro connections are solid too, so getting to the Duomo or Navigli is straightforward.

The Room Experience

My room was compact but smartly designed — you know, that European efficiency where every square meter counts. The bed was comfortable enough, and I actually appreciated the simple, clean aesthetic rather than fussy decorations. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, which honestly matters more than fancy marble when you’re dealing with Milan’s busy schedule. WiFi worked perfectly, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during my summer visit.

Neighborhood Vibes

What really struck me was how local this area feels despite being central. In the morning, you’ll see Milanese heading to work, not just tourists with cameras. There’s a great coffee bar just around the corner where the barista started recognizing me after two days. The streets have that authentic Milan energy — stylish but not showy, busy but not frantic. Plus, if you need parking, the area has options, though I’d honestly recommend using public transport instead.

Why Guests Love It

This isn’t trying to be the fanciest hotel in Milan, and that’s exactly why it works. You get a clean, comfortable base in a genuinely interesting part of the city without paying premium prices. The staff knows the neighborhood well and can point you toward the good restaurant spots that locals actually use. For travelers who want to experience Milan beyond the tourist bubble while still having easy access to the main sights, this place hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Locals suggest to book apartments in Milan around Porta Romana for vintage markets, trattoria spots, and tree-lined avenues.

Reviews of Kibilù – Viale Andrea Doria – Corso Buenos Aires – Porta Venezia – Centro Città

  • Passable – Chanikarn from Thailand – 20 June 2025 (5/10)

The accommodation is not far from the station you can walk 10 minutes to go to central milano station. This place is quite old, but the bed is comfortable.

What could be improved: I told the host about the flickering living room light, but nothing was done to resolve it.After that, I did laundry and had a problem with the washing machine. The staff weren't very interested in helping resolve the issue with the stuck washing machine, which caused me stress and worry. In the end, I had to fix it myself. The stove in the kitchen couldn't be lit on its own; I had to buy a lighter to ignite it. The accommodation didn't provide one.

  • Passable – Hannah from Ireland – 15 September 2024 (5/10)

They were easily contactable (although we never met in person). Price was very good and you couldn't fault the location

What could be improved: No air conditioning (granted the apartment did not say they would have this but the rooms were very very hot and made it difficult to sleep). The automatic code on the phone was also a nuisance

  • Central and Clean – Marco from Malta – 21 July 2024 (9/10)

Apartment was clean, very close to the metro , and easy to get into – the host was very nice and informed us about everything. There is also a supermarket 2 min away which was very convenient. Would definitely book here again.

  • Exceptional – Sam from Australia – 20 May 2024 (10/10)

    Nice apartment close to station.

  • Good – Nachapol from Thailand – 26 April 2024 (7/10)

Room privacy layout with 2 superate barthroom. Kitchen with private balcony.

What could be improved: Common/living room have only 2 seats sofa but the complex can hold up to 6 guest. Insufficient sofa to hold all guests and snack/dust from previous customers can be found on between sofa cushions. Not enough information regarding self check-in after booking on website. Need to do your own research and keep reaching our host email.

  • Good – Yeo from Singapore – 20 November 2023 (7/10)

Allow to cook and good location

What could be improved: Hot water not enough

  • Passable – Hsinyu from Taiwan – 25 October 2023 (5/10)

Location is good, near metro station, walking distance to Milan main station
Access to apartment is easy, link of the e-door lock will be provided before checkin

    The apartment is spacious.
There is a supermarket just downstair

What could be improved: Cleanliness is not up to standard.
Bed is ok (although the bed sheet is worn out)
chair is ok, but side table next to beds are covered by a layer of dust.
Bathroom ventilator looks like it hasn’t been touched for a hundred years.
Kitchenware is too dirty to be used.

    Stove is not working.
The host said it can be turned on by using the lighter provided.
But the lighter is out of gas.
Washing machine is super small, can only wash around 5 t-shirts at a time.
And the washing program is so long so if you want to use it, start it early.

    Boiler is small, too.
Although there are two bathroom, you can’t really take shower at the same time.

E-door lock is inactivated at sharp 10am on check out date.
So we can’t even lock the door when we come out at 10:02

  • Exceptional – Stefano from Sweden – 9 October 2023 (10/10)

Clean, responsive host, close to underground, spacious flat

What could be improved: Traffic outside loud in the morning, but it's a very central area so it's normal.

  • Conveniently located but not one of the better apartments in our 8 week trip in Italy. – Matthew from Australia – 29 August 2023 (4/10)

It was close to the train station.

What could be improved: The lounge area really didn’t cater for our group of 5. There was no greeting from the host to let us know how everything worked such as the hot water and internet.

  • Ok but wouldn’t return. – Andrew from United Kingdom – 17 July 2023 (7/10)

Location. The size of the property

What could be improved: It was like sleeping in a furnace. Wouldn’t stay there again in high summer. Had to buy our own toilet rolls as so few provided. The entry and exit locks were complicated and more info in the apartment would have been welcomed.
