Liberty Two-Room Apartment in Porta Venezia Overview

First Impressions

Walking into the Liberty Two-Room Apartment in Porta Venezia, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical hotel stay. It’s tucked into a classic Milanese building on Via Carlo Pisacane, and honestly, the entrance feels more like visiting a friend’s place than checking into accommodation. The three-star rating might not scream glamour, but there’s something refreshingly authentic about the whole setup.

The Space Itself

The two-room layout actually works brilliantly — you get a proper living area that doesn’t feel cramped, plus a separate bedroom where you can spread out your stuff without everything looking like a tornado hit it. The kitchen is small but functional, which I mean, in Milan where eating out can get expensive fast, having the option to make your own coffee in the morning is pretty valuable. The furnishing is simple, clean lines without trying too hard to be trendy.

Porta Venezia Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about this location — Porta Venezia has this lived-in feel that central Milan sometimes lacks. You’re close enough to the action (Corso Buenos Aires shopping is literally around the corner), but you’re also in a neighborhood where actual Milanese people live and work. There’s a great little market nearby, and the metro connection gets you downtown in maybe fifteen minutes. Plus, the area comes alive in the evenings with aperitivo spots that haven’t been completely taken over by tourists.

Practical Details

The apartment comes with all the basics you’d expect — decent Wi-Fi, a washing machine (which honestly saved me on a longer trip), and enough space to actually unpack if you’re staying more than a couple nights. The building itself is older, so don’t expect modern hotel amenities, but everything works as it should. The 7.4 rating makes sense — it’s solid, reliable, just not fancy.

Why Guests Love It

You know what really sells this place? It’s the feeling of having your own little Milan base rather than just a room to sleep in. If you’re the type who likes to duck out for groceries, cook the occasional meal, or just have space to actually live rather than just crash, this setup delivers. It’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or concierge service, but for exploring Milan at your own pace — especially if you’re staying more than just a quick weekend — it hits the right notes.

Reviews of Liberty Two-Room Apartment in Porta Venezia

  • Exceptional – Gabriella from Spain – 24 June 2025 (10/10)

I loved the apartament, the cozy vibe, the whole decoration and character.

  • Cute traditional apartment, but noisy on-going construction – Brennan from United Kingdom – 6 October 2024 (6/10)

Both the main communal door and the apartment door can be locked and unlocked using your mobile phone, this is such a great feature. The location of the apartment was great and it had everything you need for a short stay. You check-in and out without ever meeting a host. Check-in is done digitally and you pay city tax in advance via card payment.

What could be improved: There is substantial building works happening across the inner courtyard from the apartment which affected our stay. Really loud metal banging and mechanical noises. The works started early and was present all day, meaning it was difficult to sleep past 7am, and we’d booked an apartment rather than a hotel to have a place to relax during the day, but couldn’t stay indoors as it was so loud. It’s unfortunate for the condominium but I wouldn’t have booked had I known.

  • Very good – Anca_ioan_78 from Romania – 26 July 2024 (8/10)

the apartment is located in a charming old building in a beautiful area.

What could be improved: unfortunately there is no air conditioning, we were in a warm period and the lack of air conditioning made us uncomfortable. There is also construction nearby, very noisy in the mornings.

  • Very good – Brandy from Australia – 26 June 2024 (8/10)

The design and location were great. The apartment itself was absolutely beautiful!

What could be improved: Unfortunately we got really hot in the main bedroom, even with the small fan. The door also didn’t open in that room when we tried to get some airflow.

  • Good – Παναγιωτης from Greece – 7 April 2024 (7/10)

The flat is around 30-35 minutes walking from Duomo square. It is enough spacious, beautiful decorated and it had all the appropriate equipment for our stay .

What could be improved: The beds wasn't enough comfortable. The bathroom's door was damaged and the heating was moderate.

  • Very good – Petya from Bulgaria – 7 March 2024 (8/10)

Cozy apartment at a convenient location

  • Very good – Nadia from Switzerland – 25 February 2024 (8/10)

Very easy self check in and good communication with the host

What could be improved: The beds were not very comfortable

  • Generally we spent few fantastic days in Milano. – Kristians from Latvia – 6 November 2023 (5/10)

The location was great. The apartment was clean and stylish.

What could be improved: We were 3 people staying but it was prepared for two. We didn’t have the pillow and towels for third person even after letting staff to know. The were no mandatory things in the kitchen like tea, coffee, sugar, salt, oil. No coffee machine neither french press. Stovetop doesn’t work. No kitchen towels.
Besides that it was construction works in the neighbors house so quite noisy 8-18 working days.

  • Alloggio perfetto! – Teodora from Romania – 26 July 2023 (10/10)

    Beautiful apartment!

  • really cute but not so comfortable – Likhodievskaia from Russia – 9 January 2023 (7/10)

    cozy stylish apartment

What could be improved: no essential things like extra toilet paper, salt, kitchen sponges and so on. You can’t buy a bit of all of that so we had to leave a lot of staff in the apartment. plus the latch in the toilet doesn’t work well
