Lovely apartment near Centrale doesn’t win any awards for creativity in naming, but honestly, it delivers exactly what it promises. You’re literally eight minutes on foot from Milano Centrale station, which means you can roll out of bed and catch that early train to Florence without breaking a sweat. The building itself is typical Milan residential — solid, no-frills, but well-maintained in that understated Italian way.

The Space

This three-star apartment feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which is either perfect or completely wrong depending on what you’re after. The kitchen is actually functional — I mean, you can cook real meals here, not just reheat leftovers. There’s a decent-sized room with a comfortable bed, and the whole setup works well if you’re planning to spend more than just a night or two in the city.

Location & Neighborhood

Stazione Centrale isn’t exactly the postcard-pretty part of Milan, but it’s incredibly practical. You’ve got the metro right there, plus buses heading everywhere, and honestly, the area has this authentic working-Milan vibe that I actually prefer to some of the more touristy spots. There’s a solid restaurant called Osteria del Borgo about three blocks away that locals actually eat at — not many tourists know about it.

Getting Around

The real advantage here is mobility. Yellow line metro gets you to Duomo in twelve minutes, and if you’re doing day trips — Lake Como, Bergamo, even Venice — you’re already at the main transportation hub. Parking is available if you’re driving, though I’d honestly skip the car in Milan entirely. The airport buses stop right at Centrale too, so your arrival and departure couldn’t be simpler.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this place isn’t going to wow you with marble bathrooms or concierge service, but it solves the basic Milan accommodation problem: location without the premium price tag. You get your own space, you can actually store groceries and cook breakfast, and you’re connected to everything that matters. The 7.1 rating makes sense — it’s good at what it does, just don’t expect bells and whistles you don’t really need anyway.

  Location was excellent. Cleanliness of property was good and communication with the agency was prompt.
  
  What could be improved: There were some maintenance issues eg toilet seat broken, batteries required for tv remote, lock on front door loose. We asked for a bathmat and tea towel and they were delivered – this was very much appreciated. An ironing board would be great!

  The apartment was neat and clean. And the amenities were good. Location was also great
  
  What could be improved: The apartment does not have a lift and our room was on the 4th floor. So we had to carry our heavy luggage to the top floor

  The apartment looks as described and in the photos. The location is great. The check in was very easy. Contact with the owner was also very good. There were very comfortable beds and pillows.
  
  What could be improved: The equipment in apartament was very poor: there was no hand towel (only each guest had one bath towel), it was also lacking a dishcloth and a normal-sized pot. The kitchen equipment was 3 units of plates and cutlery. The pot was so small that it was impossible to cook pasta for 3 people. There was also no washing-up liquid or garbage bags. We asked the owner to bring a large pot, garbage bags and washing-up liquid. We did indeed get these things, but only the next day. As other opinions indicate – everything in it was falling apart. Cracked door frame and falling toilet seat.

  As advertised the apartment is a short walk from the central station. The host via WhatsApp was very amicable and tried to assist us when possible. Both the bed and the sofa bed were quite comfortable and little of the city's street noise permeated the courtyard of the apartment. We were able to sleep well. Having a separate bedroom from the living area provided some pleasant privacy from my traveling companion and high ceilings made the apartment feel larger. The hosts kindly prepared the room with power converters for various electronics as well as coffee, water, and permission to use the ingredients left over from previous visitors.
  
  What could be improved: Our stay was marred by a few minor inconveniences, most relevantly we had great difficulty actually figuring out how to enter the building and our host was not able to understand or aid us with our issue. (We were luckily let in by a resident). Moreover had difficulty figuring out the hot water heater and ended up with cold showers the first night. Even once we figured it out the water pressure left much to be desired. And though it was likely our own incompetence, we likewise couldn't figure out how to work the washing machine and ended up doing laundry in the bidet :')
  The apartment had a few loose fixtures like doorhandles and the toilet seat. The central area rug was not secured and had a tendency to slip, and the cookware provided was insufficient to cook and drain pasta, additionally not all the pots worked on the stovetop. But on a positive note, the apartment's sanitarium white walls and prefabricated furniture provided a very strong incentive to get out and see the city.
  In defence of our host however many of these issues could have been due to our own ignorance.
  
  All and all this is a nice place if you're willing to roll with some punches. the host once again was very friendly. Staying here reminded me appreciate the convenience and everyday luxury of the place where I live and I'll be returning home from this vacation more grateful than when I left.

  Good location, close to the train station. Interesting building, with big stairs and inner yard. Nice place, quiet. They left sweets for us, which was a pleasant surprise
  
  What could be improved: There were three of us, so someone slept on the couch, but there were only two normal pillows. In addition there were couch pillows, but they were too thick, imposible to sleep on. Also the toilet seat was brocken

  What could be improved: Is not something that the owner is guilty of, but they should say it anyway: in some parts of the world they count 0, 1, 2, 3 so the description says is on the third floor, but you have to climb 4 flights of steps to get there. Also there is no elevator. Just to keep that in mind.

  Location was perfect. Just a few minutes walk to early morning excursion meeting points.
  
  What could be improved: Although I had a confirmed booking with booking.com an additional level was required via an Agent's visitor portal, which didn't recognise my confirmation number. Had the Agent responded to my messages in the week leading up to travel maybe the problem I encountered upon arrival could have been averted. Having said that the Agent was very helpful once I arrived and couldn't get in. Also thank you to the owner for rescuing me when the automated entry system went offline and locked me out.
