Walking up to LUVI – Campania, you immediately notice how it fits into the neighborhood rather than trying to dominate it. This four-star hotel sits on a tree-lined street in Porta Vittoria, and honestly, that’s part of its charm — it feels more like discovering a well-kept secret than checking into a tourist hotspot. The entrance is understated but welcoming, with modern touches that hint at what’s waiting inside.

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in Milan but not drowning in the chaos of the city center. Porta Vittoria has this emerging creative energy, with local cafés and design studios mixing with traditional Milanese life. The metro’s close enough (Porta Romana station is your friend), but you can actually walk to places like Brera or the Navigli without your feet screaming at you. I mean, it’s about a 20-minute stroll to the Duomo, which is perfect for morning coffee runs.

Room Experience

The room design strikes this nice balance between contemporary and comfortable — nothing too flashy, but everything works. What really got me was the attention to lighting; they’ve figured out how to make even the standard rooms feel spacious and bright. The beds are actually comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss hotel beds can be), and there’s enough parking space for your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathrooms are clean and modern, though not huge — typical for Milan, really.

Dining and Daily Life

The hotel doesn’t have a full restaurant, but there’s a breakfast area that does the job well. Nothing fancy, but the coffee’s decent and there are enough options to fuel your Milan adventures. What I actually appreciated more was how the staff pointed me toward some great local spots — there’s this amazing aperitivo place just two blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise. Sometimes local knowledge beats in-house dining anyway.

Look, LUVI – Campania isn’t trying to be the most Instagrammable hotel in Milan, and that’s exactly why it works. It’s solid, reliable, and puts you in a part of the city that feels authentic without sacrificing access to the main attractions. The 7.4 rating makes sense — it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters: clean rooms, helpful staff, and a location that lets you experience Milan like someone who actually lives here. If you want to feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary local, this place gets it right.

  Appartement spacieux calme et propre. Très belle terrasse sur le toit. Literie confortable.
  
  What could be improved: Rue très passante. Manque un peu de vaisselle (un grille pain serait le bienvenu). Accès a la terrasse un peu difficile ((escalier raide, peu large et en colimaçon)

  On the day of arrival, while I was on the plane, the owners contacted me to inform me about a gate malfunction. When I called from the airport to say that I was on my way to the apartment, I was told that I would have to wait at the gate for the keys to be delivered. It was a very uncomfortable situation, especially when traveling with family and children.
  
  What could be improved: It was very uncomfortable that the bathroom door couldn’t be fully closed — it had to be held shut. The moldy ceiling was a complete disappointment. The kitchen was very poorly equipped: just a few cups, plates, and glasses. It’s quite difficult to cook and serve a meal using the available utensils. It’s astonishing that the owners don’t pay attention to such things

  What could be improved: Horrible stay, no tranceparncy on check in, no assisstance for luggage storage, not fulfuling approved requests, apt not ready at the time of check in, not cleaned properly , no electricity at time of check in, Air conditiong not wirking properly, no access for the apartment clbuilding during the whole stay..
  Several calls ,nessages with admin without any sign they care for guests.
  I blame booking.com for allowing such customer service experience without protecting customers against such conditions.

  The location was convenient for us as we enjoy spending time in this area.
  
  What could be improved: We had previously booked this apartment a year prior and had a good experience. So, when it came time to visit Milan again we decided to return. Unfortunately there were many issues that the host could not resolve. The air conditioning was not functioning as noted by the guest prior to us. As it was 90 degrees we wanted to open the windows but there were too many mosquitoes to do that. There are stains on the bathroom wall and ceiling that appear to be mold, and that same bathroom shower did not drain, leading to the shower filling very quickly.
  
  We had to leave after one night there as we could not tolerate the conditions.

  Really nice and convenient for our stay as a group of friends.
  It gave us the opportunity to stay and share moments together, to relax and enjoy each others’ company after long days of walking and visiting.
  The apartment is spacious and recently renovated.
  
  What could be improved: Some facilities were not fully operational (the microwave and the iron), one bathroom had a plumbing issue (the shower was not properly evacuating).

  The owner was very kind and responded me at messages at any hour for every question that we had! The apartment is really nice, very big and really good organized. The view is amazing. We saw the mountains from the balcony❤️ and the metro/bus stations are really close. Exceeded our expectations!
