The building itself is typical Milanese residential, nothing fancy, but clean and well-maintained.

Location That Actually Works

Look, Milan can be expensive and touristy, but this area feels refreshingly local. The Bicocca district has this authentic neighborhood vibe — you’ll see families doing their grocery shopping, students heading to the nearby university, and locals grabbing coffee at the corner bar. What’s brilliant is that you can hop on the purple line at Zara and be in the city center in about 15 minutes. I mean, try finding that combination of local atmosphere and transit access anywhere else for this price.

The Space Itself

The room is compact but smartly designed — clearly someone thought about how travelers actually live. There’s a proper kitchenette with everything you need (not just a mini-fridge and hope), and the WiFi actually works well, which isn’t always a given in Milan. The decor is simple and modern, nothing Instagram-worthy but comfortable enough that you’ll sleep well. The bathroom is small but functional, with decent water pressure — sometimes it’s the little things that matter most.

Neighborhood Life

What surprised me was how much I enjoyed just wandering around this area. There’s a great local market a few blocks away where you can grab fresh produce if you want to use that kitchen, and the coffee at Bar Centrale (just around the corner) is better than half the tourist traps in the Duomo area. The streets are quieter here, especially in the evenings, which made it easy to unwind after long days of sightseeing. You know what? Sometimes you just want to feel like a temporary local rather than another tourist.

This three-star place gets it right by keeping things simple and focusing on what matters. The metro connection is genuinely useful — I never waited more than a few minutes for a train, and the ride into central Milan is smooth and reliable. The WiFi is solid for remote work, the space is clean and quiet, and you’re paying Milan apartment prices rather than hotel premiums. It’s not going to wow you with amenities or concierge service, but if you want a clean, comfortable base with excellent transit links and a slice of real Milanese neighborhood life, this spot delivers without any fuss.

  Páčila sa mi lokalita, idealne pre dvoch ľudí. Pekný bytík, veľmi slušne upratany, uvitací hygienicky baliček. Veľmi blízko stanice metra. Potraviny boli ešte bližšie.

  A great location and absolutely well equipped and comfortable apartment, we stayed only for 2 days and would stay more if I have extra days!! The only thing is that we couldn’t use the elevator and took the baggage over the stairs (not that long)
