Milan Apartment Rental Overview

First Impressions

Milan Apartment Rental sits on Via Pergolesi, and honestly, the building feels more residential than hotel-like — which is exactly the point. I mean, you’re getting an apartment experience in the heart of Milan, not some cookie-cutter hotel setup. The entrance is understated, almost like you’re visiting a friend who lives in a well-maintained Milanese building from the early 1900s.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about the Stazione Centrale area — it’s not the prettiest part of Milan, but man, is it practical. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Milano Centrale station, which connects you to everything. The Malpensa Express runs right from there, so airport transfers are a breeze. Plus, you know what? The neighborhood has this authentic, lived-in feel that tourist-heavy areas just don’t have anymore.

The area around Via Pergolesi has plenty of local cafés and that morning bustle of real Milanese heading to work. There’s a decent supermarket nearby too, which actually matters when you’ve got a kitchen to work with. The metro’s close enough that getting to the Duomo or Navigli takes maybe 15 minutes.

The Space

The apartments themselves are what you’d expect from a three-star setup — clean, functional, nothing fancy but everything works. Each room has that European efficiency vibe, where every square meter counts. The kitchenette is small but equipped with the basics if you want to grab groceries and eat in sometimes. I actually appreciated having real plates and decent coffee cups instead of those tiny hotel ones.

Don’t expect luxury here — the furniture’s a bit dated and the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some units. But the beds are comfortable enough, and there’s usually good natural light during the day. The bathrooms are compact but well-maintained, with decent water pressure (always a concern in older Italian buildings).

Practical Considerations

One thing to know — this isn’t a hotel with 24-hour reception, so coordinate your arrival time ahead of time. The staff I dealt with were helpful but clearly stretched thin across multiple properties. Parking isn’t included, and street parking around Stazione Centrale can be tricky, so factor that in if you’re driving.

The building can get a bit noisy — you’re in central Milan, after all, and the walls aren’t exactly soundproof. Light sleepers might want to pack earplugs, especially if you end up facing the street side.

Why Guests Choose It

Look, Milan Apartment Rental works for travelers who want independence and don’t need hotel services like daily housekeeping or a concierge. It’s perfect for longer stays when you want to feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary local. The price point makes sense for what you get — basic but functional space in a city where accommodation costs can get ridiculous fast.

If you’re the type who prefers exploring neighborhoods over hanging out in hotel lobbies, and you value easy transport connections over Instagram-worthy interiors, this place delivers. Just manage your expectations accordingly — it’s practical Milan living, not a glossy travel magazine experience.

  • Had to sort and throw our own garbage for a two-night stay? Wow! Thank god the location is perfect! – Ryalino from Netherlands – 6 November 2024 (7/10)

Location: just right across the street from Milan's central station. We can also find restaurants, cafes, and access to public transport and sightseeing buses within walking distance.

Room and bathroom amenities were as expected. We had a room with a window that overlooked across the street.

What could be improved: Basic amenities for basic breakfast at the apartment stay are missing. We could not even find coffee or tea bags in the kitchen.

We stayed for two nights, and we had to sort and throw our own garbage into the dumpster. I mean, we stayed at apartments before, in many cities and many countries; even cities cleaner than Milan, but that is something we have never experienced before. Before we went to Milan, we spent 6 nights at an apartment in Florence. Even there the garbage-related rules are not as strict as this one. Additionally, a family friend of ours also stayed here for one night, and they also instructed the same! Apparently, the price we paid does not include a cleaning service.

The lady who checked us in talked like a robot. From her intonation, it is apparent that she had practiced and memorized all the lines. So expect to be greeted as a robot, with no personalized touch or something. Another example of the lack of personalized touch is that when we asked to check in an hour earlier because our son had a high temperature on the day we arrived, yet, they still sent us a link stating that it was doable for 50 euros. Of course, we passed. The staffs at a cafe at the train station were very kind to let us sit in there for more than an hour to tend to our son, who managed to sleep in his stroller.

I mean, they own the property, it is up to them how they set the rules. But still, this lack of compassion for a small boy who was ill, put a big question mark on whether they are human.

  • Perfect ideal place, close to the main train station, metro and trams. – Tracey from United Kingdom – 5 November 2024 (8/10)

Well equipped studio, small balcony, location was excellent.

What could be improved: Definitely not wheelchair accessible/friendly.
