Location Perks

Being on Via Donizetti means you’re literally a ten-minute walk from the cathedral — I timed it because I’m obsessive like that. But here’s the thing most tourists don’t realize: you’re also super close to some of the best local spots that aren’t completely overrun. There’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually use, and the Porta Garibaldi area is close enough that you can easily explore beyond the obvious tourist trail.

The Reality Check

Look, this isn’t going to blow your mind with fancy amenities or over-the-top service — it’s a solid three-star place that does what it promises. The room setup works well for couples or small families, and having that outdoor space in the middle of Milan honestly feels like a bit of a miracle. I mean, you’re paying for location and that terrace view, not for a concierge or daily housekeeping. The 7.6 rating makes sense to me — it delivers on the basics really well without trying to be something it’s not.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back here is that combination of being right in the action while still having your own little retreat space upstairs. You can walk to La Scala, hit the shopping districts, grab dinner in Brera — all without dealing with public transport or expensive taxis. Then you come back to your own terrace with those cathedral views. For Milan, that’s actually a pretty sweet deal, especially considering how much you’d pay for a hotel with similar perks in this neighborhood.

  Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung in Mailand. Die Lage ist super zentral – in nur etwa 15 Minuten ist man zu Fuß am Dom. Die Wohnung war ruhig, gut ausgestattet und hatte alles, was man braucht. Besonders schön war die Terrasse, ideal zum Entspannen nach einem Tag in der Stadt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben sich immer erkundigt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen!

  The location is good, it is two stops on the tram to get to the Duomo.
  The apartment is a good size but it is not two bedrooms, it is a bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room.
  The kitchen is well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: The check in procedure which involves an online form with pictures of passports etc was time consuming and only sent to us around the time of check in and we had to complete it on the street on our phones.
  There are many many stairs to the top floor and no lift.
  There were no blankets or duvets and the sheet on the main bed had a mark on it. There were no towels for the kitchen.
  The floors, which are beautiful parquet, were not particularly clean if you want to walk around bare foot.
  The rooms show signs of water (?) damage to the walls and paint is flaking off window cills.
  The tubs and window boxes on the terrace were full of dead shrubs and it looked uncared for…certainly not beautiful.

  Spacious apartment with a large terrace in a nice neighborhood. The apartment is equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. Great for an extended stay.
