Bamboo Milano Duomo Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Bamboo Milano Duomo on Via Crocefisso, you’ll notice it’s tucked into one of those narrow streets that makes Milan feel intimate despite being such a major city. The entrance is understated — no flashy signage or doormen — which honestly feels refreshing after seeing so many over-the-top hotel lobbies. This three-star property has a clean, modern vibe without trying too hard to impress you.

Location Reality Check

Here’s what actually matters: you’re about a 7-minute walk from the Duomo, and I mean a real walk, not one of those “5 minutes if you sprint” situations hotels love to claim. Via Crocefisso sits in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to hit the main attractions on foot, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night. The Missori metro station is practically around the corner, which makes getting to other parts of Milan pretty straightforward.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — typical Milan, really, where space is at a premium. The bamboo accents throughout aren’t just for show; they actually create this calm, almost zen-like atmosphere that helps you decompress after a day of sightseeing. You know what impressed me? The blackout curtains actually work, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine taking off.

Practical Considerations

Let’s talk about the stuff that matters when you’re actually staying somewhere. The Wi-Fi is solid — I had video calls without issues. There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, you’re in Milan; you want to eat out anyway. The neighborhood has everything from quick espresso bars to proper trattorias within a couple blocks. Staff speaks English well enough, and they’re genuinely helpful with directions and recommendations rather than just handing you a generic tourist map.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Bamboo Milano Duomo isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a clean, comfortable base in central Milan that won’t break the bank. The bamboo theme could have been gimmicky, but it actually works — creates a cohesive design that feels intentional rather than thrown together. For the price point and location, you’re getting solid value, especially if you’re the type of traveler who spends most of your time exploring rather than hanging around the hotel. Plus, being on a quieter side street means you get the benefits of central Milan without the constant noise of the main thoroughfares.

Reviews of Bamboo Milano Duomo

  • Very good – Cicek from Cyprus – 13 November 2025 (8/10)

The flat is spacious, in a nice building, very secure.
I liked the little details such as the coffee machine, a power station which extends the power outlet to different usb cables as well as a plug.

What could be improved: Walls are very thin and sound travels easily, we heard our neighbour – who was very sick I suppose – cough all night.

  • Good – Cristina from Austria – 5 August 2025 (7/10)

What could be improved: We didn't find any coffe for coffe machine and the host told us that she rent the apartment and not the serices. We had no kitchen towel or sponge or something to can use the dishwasing machine. Also no napkins… In bathroom was only soap, without douche gel…

  • Very good – Alda from Albania – 10 February 2025 (8/10)

The house had all the necessary things that we needed for three days. They even had umbrella for the rainy days that you can use.

What could be improved: The location of the property near Duomo Cathedral, metro and tram station. Near you can find a Carrefour supermarket where you can find good breakfast and food.

  • Clean, cozy and centric apartment in Milano. – Eida from United States – 27 August 2024 (9/10)

The apartment is part of a building that has a beautiful garden, so it's always a pleasure to enter the building. It is about 6-7 blocks away from the Duomo. There is a taxi stop a block away, so you can reach any point in the city very fast. The space is a bit small for 4 people, but the bed and the sofa bed next to it are comfortable. The AC worked very well, which we appreciated a lot.

What could be improved: It's a small apartment, but good to sleep and take a shower which is what we did.

  • Great location, walking distance to all the sites of Milan but quite dated facilities. – Charles from Australia – 16 July 2024 (7/10)

Very well located and it had a working washing machine.

What could be improved: Quite dated, A/C not the strongest, floor wasn’t the cleanest as feet would get dirty walking around bare footed.

  • We didn’t spend time at home other than sleeping but best thing is close to everywhere. – Ezgi from Turkey – 12 June 2024 (8/10)

Apartment was in the city center and this was good. Very close to everything – market and shopping center. Also it was clean.

  • A nice place to stay & visit Milan. – Flavian from Canada – 9 August 2023 (7/10)

    Location

What could be improved: The AC is an old machine that wasn’t working 100% and was doing some strange noises/cracks.

  • Great location, could do better with cleaning – Kristi from Albania – 3 August 2023 (8/10)

The apartment was a 8 minute walk from the duomo in a very nice and quiet neighborhood, so the location was pretty nice if you don’t want to be in the touristy noisy areas. It has all the facilities you need and the owners were very responsible to our needs.

What could be improved: It didn’t feel very clean. The towels had hairs and in them and there was mold in the shower cabin

  • Good value for money near the duomo – Francesca from Taiwan – 20 July 2023 (8/10)

The location was very good. Check in and out was easy. Free Wi-Fi and 1.5L water were provided. The room was very clean.

What could be improved: The air conditioning was a bit weak under a very hot Italian summer. For 4 adults with large luggages, the space is just enough.

  • Convenient and nice apartment – Liliana from Colombia – 3 July 2023 (7/10)

Very well located, nice neighborhood, good ventilations and very good sunlight

What could be improved: Air conditioning was not working properly too hot.
