Milan Cortina Olympics 2026 – The Central Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Milan Cortina Olympics 2026 – The Central, you immediately get that this place knows exactly what it is — a solid, no-nonsense three-star hotel that’s perfectly positioned for exploring Milan. The building sits right on Via Torino, which honestly couldn’t be more central if it tried, and there’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t oversell itself with fancy marble lobbies when what you really need is a clean, comfortable base.

Location & Getting Around

You know what’s great about this spot? You’re literally in Milan City Centre, which means the Duomo is practically a stroll away — I’m talking maybe 10 minutes on foot. The Missori metro station is right there too, so getting to other parts of the city is painless. What I really appreciate is that Via Torino itself has this authentic Milan vibe; you’ll find locals grabbing coffee at the bars nearby, not just tourists with cameras.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — clean, functional, with enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The air conditioning actually works (trust me, this matters in Milan summers), and the Wi-Fi is reliable enough for video calls. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but honestly? After a day of walking around the fashion district, you just want somewhere comfortable to crash.

Practical Details That Matter

Here’s where this hotel really gets it right — the staff actually seems to care about helping you figure out Milan. They’ll give you real recommendations, not just the obvious tourist traps. The breakfast situation is decent enough, though I’d recommend stepping out to try some of the local cafes instead — you’re in Italy, after all. One thing to note: parking isn’t included, but in this part of Milan, you’re better off using public transport anyway.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Milan Cortina Olympics 2026 – The Central isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works. You get a clean, comfortable place to sleep right in the heart of one of Europe’s most exciting cities, without paying luxury prices for amenities you probably won’t use. The 8.3 rating makes total sense — it’s the kind of place where everything just works smoothly, and sometimes that’s more valuable than all the fancy extras in the world.

Locals suggest to book apartments in Milan around Porta Romana for vintage markets, trattoria spots, and tree-lined avenues.

Reviews of Milan Cortina Olympics 2026 – The Central

  • in general everything is okay, best location, bit noisy and need fix the shower – Valentyn from Ukraine – 8 November 2025 (8/10)

best location, 5 mins walk to Duomo

What could be improved: bit noisy since there are the trams next to the apartment. also, please fix the shower, it’s splashing everywhere

  • Superb – Marguerite from South Africa – 21 October 2025 (9/10)

Very close to the Duomo, there is a luggage storage very close if you checknout the next day. It was a wonderful stay.

What could be improved: You just have to make sure that your phone is charged because you use it to access the building.

  • Very good – Fernando from United States – 8 September 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Mattress was too hard.

  • We walked everywhere from the apartment! – Alison from United Kingdom – 28 July 2025 (9/10)

    Fabulous location with cute terrace.

  • Great location very central – Margaret from United Kingdom – 15 June 2025 (7/10)

Location was great, good air con

What could be improved: Noise from the trams. Did not like arrangements for initial access to property

  • Very good – Jean-luc from Switzerland – 30 March 2025 (8/10)

    The central location
    The 2 terraces
    The friendly welcominlg from Simonetta
    The cleanliness of the apartment

What could be improved: The lack of cooking ustensils (unfortunate no large pan to cook pasta, no cheese grater, no glasses for wine, no dishes/hand towels, etc.)

  • Location, secure elevator building, outdoor space; great for a short stay for 2 people. – Patricia from United States – 5 December 2024 (9/10)

The location is exceptional and the building is secure. The pizza restaurant just outside the building was very good. The apartment is small but was fine for two nights. There is outdoor space which was a bonus.

What could be improved: I knew the apartment was small when I booked it, so we made it work due to the excellent location.

  • Very good – Julie from United States – 25 September 2024 (8/10)

Great location neat the Duomo but still felt safe and secure

What could be improved: Very noisy outside. No wifi

  • Great location, nice little oasis in the heart of the city – Gwendolyn from United States – 9 July 2024 (9/10)

Location is great, short walk from the subway that you can access from the Milano Centrale railroad if you are coming by train. In the heart of the business/fashion district but still very quiet at night. Loved the fact that there was a lift.

What could be improved: I don't think we had any problems. The host thought of everything, electric hot water kettle, iron, nice size fridge. We were really happy with it.

  • Great location and good value – Phillipa from Australia – 3 April 2023 (9/10)

The location was great, incredibly central, but the apartment shutters/windows meant it was quiet and dark. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. The sofa bed can fold out into a double bed, though this means it is almost touching the main bed. However, it can be separated to have one stand-alone single bed, which can be placed in the other room (kitchen area) to give you more space.

What could be improved: The location of the shower head means you are a little bit squashed between the taps and the shower curtain.
