First Impressions

Chic Living – Porta Venezia caught my attention the moment I walked up to the building on Viale Regina Giovanna. The entrance has this understated elegance that feels distinctly Milanese — you know, that effortless style the city does so well. It’s tucked into a residential street that actually feels like real Milan, not just the tourist version you see around the Duomo.

The Neighborhood Feel

Porta Venezia is honestly one of my favorite areas in the city. You’ve got the beautiful Giardini Pubblici right there (perfect for morning runs, trust me), and the whole district has this creative energy that’s hard to find elsewhere. The street itself is lined with those classic Milanese buildings, and you’re close enough to Corso Buenos Aires for serious shopping but far enough away to actually get some peace and quiet.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was what I’d call “smart modern” — clean lines, great lighting, and everything you actually need without unnecessary clutter. The kitchen setup was particularly well thought out, with proper appliances that you’d actually want to use if you picked up ingredients from the local markets. What impressed me most was the attention to detail in the design; this four-star property really understands that travelers want style without sacrificing functionality.

Local Connections

There’s a fantastic little restaurant just around the corner that the front desk recommended — the kind of place locals go to, not tourists. And honestly, being able to walk to multiple metro stops gives you so much freedom to explore. The Porta Venezia station connects you to the green line, which means easy access to places like Garibaldi or Centrale without dealing with the chaos of switching trains downtown.

What really works about this place is how it balances that polished Milan aesthetic with genuine comfort. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or doormen in white gloves, but you’re getting thoughtful design and a location that lets you experience the city like someone who actually lives here. The parking situation is also surprisingly manageable for Milan, which anyone who’s driven here will appreciate. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days and feel like you’ve found your Milan base, not just a place to sleep between sightseeing.

  Beautiful and spacious apartment with everything well stocked including juices, water, coffee and biscuits. Just 5 min walk to the Metro or tram. There’s also a washer and dryer which is very helpful! Also appreciate the immediate service from their staff via WhatsApp which you can text for any assistance including booking of taxis, information about restaurants etc
  
  What could be improved: We had some issues with water supply on the first night but they managed to send someone to fix it. Slight inconvenience but their service is appreciated!

  The apartment was very spacious! We have 7 adults and it fit us comfortably. Two large bedrooms with a queen and a single bed and a Sofa bed in the living room. The sofa is huge and probably can fit more than 2 people comfortably. There is an AC unit in one of the bedroom and a living room. The one bedroom without AC was a bit warm. We are here in September, and it wasn’t too bad. We were only staying for one night, but if you are staying longer, I’d suggest requesting a table fan. We suggested this to the host and I am certain if we requested it, they will provide. Host is extremely responsive. Amazing communications. I also suggest watch video and read the check-in instruction carefully. The automatic door code, for a first time user was a bit confusing for us. The host sent extremely clear instructions with videos and I suggest reading and watching it to avoid any frustration. Location was GREAT!!! Minutes from Milan Metro station and closed to many shops and eateries. Super convenient!!! The apartment was super clean and modern, equipped with everything that we need. We super appreciated the welcome juice and water bottled in the fridge, after a long, hot travel! It was a very nice touch. We wish we could stay longer. Thank you again for hosting us.
