You can literally walk to the Duomo in about fifteen minutes, but you’re staying in Brera — which means you’re surrounded by actual Milanese life instead of just tourist traps. Corso Garibaldi has this great mix of local cafés and wine bars that don’t feel like they’re performing for visitors. I mean, my morning espresso routine involved a tiny place two doors down where the barista remembered my order by day three.

The Space

The room itself feels like what it says on the tin — an attic conversion, but done thoughtfully. There’s definitely a cozy, almost residential vibe happening here. The sloped ceilings give it character, though taller folks might want to watch their heads near the windows. What I appreciated was how they didn’t try to cram too much furniture in — sometimes less really is more, especially when you’re just using the space to sleep and get ready.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this nice, unhurried feel. There’s no massive hotel restaurant with buffet chaos — instead, you’ll probably end up exploring the neighborhood for breakfast, which honestly feels more authentic anyway. The Moscova metro stop is close enough that getting around Milan becomes pretty straightforward. I found myself using it to hop over to Navigli for dinner most evenings, then walking back through the quieter streets.

Why Guests Love It

Here’s the thing about Moscova Attic — it’s not trying to be something it’s not. You won’t find a spa or fancy amenities, but you will get a clean, comfortable base in one of Milan’s most livable neighborhoods. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re actually getting: a no-nonsense place to stay that puts you right in the middle of real Milan life. Plus, when you tell people you stayed in Brera, you sound like you know something the other tourists don’t.

  What could be improved: Cleanliness was not the best, floor very dusty – and it was a bit cold especially in the living room, in the room was fine – payment was weird, they asked us to pay at the property but card machine was not working – luckily we had cash on us but no proof given and not sure if booking.com will take money from me as well or not..Also host didn:t knew english so was difficult to communicate.

  The location was incredible, everything is at the door step. Close to all transport, shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. For Milan you couldnt ask for more.

  I had asked for a crib for my 1 year old, which they had also forgot
  The couch had not been made up and was absolutely broken beyond use, so it made for an uncomfortable stay

  At first I was a little worried of this accommodation because of some bad reviews. Yes, there was problem with our check-in. We picked arrival time between 15:00-16:00. They texted us at 16:20 so we were little anxious of waiting. If we knew that it’s self check in we wouldn’t be waiting at the place. Also we met host for the payment later that day. The communication with host isn’t the best but maybe this information will help other customers – You probably don’t need to wait there. That’s the only bad thing about this apartment. Apartment itself is very modern, clean and has the best shower. Also we had a toilet paper, pillows for everyone and iron worked (yes I saw a lot of reviews haha). Sofa bed was good for one person but probably too hard on one side for another one. Location of this apartment is great. Overall we recommend this accommodation.
