There’s decent public transport nearby, though I found myself walking more than expected because the streets are just pleasant to wander through.

You get a proper kitchen — not some sad mini-fridge situation — which means you can actually cook if you want to. The space feels like someone’s well-appointed home rather than a sterile hotel room, and there’s enough storage that you can properly unpack instead of living out of a suitcase. What I didn’t expect was how much I’d appreciate the little details. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere in the apartment, the shower has proper water pressure, and there’s this nice terrace space where you can have your morning coffee. Parking can be arranged if you’re driving, though honestly, in Milan you’re better off without a car. The staff isn’t hovering around like in a traditional hotel, but when you need something, they’re responsive and helpful.

  The apartment is very big, with spacious rooms and plenty of space overall. The facilities are good, and the kitchen is well equipped. Having two bathrooms was very convenient, especially for a family or group stay.
  
  What could be improved: We experienced a few issues: there were missing blankets, and one towel was missing, which meant not everyone had a clean one. We also didn’t know how to properly lock the apartment, and there was no safe available. In addition, we noticed mold in the shower, which needs to be addressed.

Only tiny thing to note if you’re planning to bring a baby is that whilst they have a cot available, just bring your own bedding as this is not provided but it was no issue for us as there was plenty of room including the sofa bed which was very comfortable!
