Perugino 20 Overview
First Impressions
Perugino 20 sits on a quiet residential street in the Porta Vittoria area, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not paying attention. The building has this understated elegance that screams Milanese style — clean lines, minimal signage, the kind of place locals would choose over flashy tourist spots. When I first arrived, I appreciated that it felt more like staying in a well-appointed apartment building than a traditional hotel.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s great about staying here? You’re in actual Milan, not some touristy bubble. Porta Vittoria is one of those neighborhoods that’s perfectly positioned — close enough to the Duomo (about 15 minutes by metro) but far enough away that you can grab dinner without fighting crowds of selfie-stick wielding tourists. The Porta Romana metro stop is a short walk away, and there’s this fantastic morning market nearby where you can actually watch Milanese families doing their daily shopping.
The Room
The room I stayed in was spacious by European standards — I mean, you can actually open your suitcase without rearranging furniture. What struck me most was the attention to detail: quality linens, a proper workspace if you need to catch up on emails, and a marble bathroom that felt more expensive than you’d expect from a four-star property. The soundproofing is excellent too, which matters when you’re staying on a city street.
Amenities & Service
The staff here actually remembers your name after the first day, which is refreshingly personal. There’s a small fitness area that gets the job done, and the breakfast spread includes proper Italian pastries alongside international options. The building has secure parking available, which is honestly a godsend in Milan — though you’ll pay extra for it. What I really appreciated was their local knowledge; they pointed me toward a fantastic aperitivo spot just two blocks away that I never would have discovered on my own.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it doesn’t try too hard. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or celebrity chef restaurants, but you get genuine comfort and a real sense of Milan beyond the fashion districts. It’s the kind of hotel where business travelers feel at home but couples won’t feel like they’re staying in a corporate box. The value proposition is solid — you’re getting quality accommodation in a city where hotel prices can be absolutely brutal, especially during fashion week or design events.

Reviews of Perugino 20
Good – Krista from Estonia – 16 August 2025 (7/10)
The apartment is well equipped. Almost everything you need is there. Could benefit from a bit smaller pan and pot. Eith the ones available you can cook a big meal, but they are a bit too big for 1-2 eggs.
Location is good – public transportation stops are near by and also there are several restaurants and crocery stores very close.
During our stay in beginning of August the neighbourhood was very calm and quite, which we enjoyed.
What could be improved: There was a specific smell in the apartment that they tyed to hide with room fragnance, but still overpowered everything. Wasn't that bad, so we just accepted it.
The apartment looks good on the pictures and from far, but on closer look, good benefit from a propper update. The fixes that have been made looked really patchy.Good – Kristóf from Hungary – 8 August 2025 (7/10)
Bed is very nice, the whole apartment is in good condition, overall a good place to stay.
What could be improved: Washing machine and dishwasher can't be used due to the furniture built poorly. If you want to use the garderobe, you'd need a ladder, because it's around 250 cm. The owner kept messaging me to pay the tourist tax, which I payed in advance on Paypal. The communication overall was terrible, but glad it was all okay in the end.Great for staying with friends. – Nicoleta from United Kingdom – 10 July 2025 (10/10)
We had a great stay! The location was perfect and felt very safe, especially with the phone-only entry system for the main door of the building. Guiseppe was kind and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved having a kitchen to cook in and easy access to TV features such as Netflix and Amazon prime. Highly recommend!
What could be improved: Nothing, all good.A comfortable and modern stay in a quiet area, though it could use a few extra touches – Who_is_tania from New Zealand – 26 May 2025 (9/10)
Quiet, well-connected neighbourhood (20 minutes by tram to the Duomo). The apartment is recently renovated with high ceilings, modern design, quality furniture, and lovely lighting. The bed was big and very comfortable. Communication with the host was easy, and there are plenty of cafés, restaurants, and grocery shops nearby.
What could be improved: The kitchen could be better equipped — a few pantry basics like spices, cooking oil, paper towels or tea towels would’ve made a difference. The air conditioning setup was a bit confusing (two interconnected units, hard to control the temperature). There was also no tourist info or local recommendations provided, which would’ve added a nice touch. Overall, the place was missing a bit of warmth and personality.Great, cozy apartmant at a nice location. – Merim from Bosnia and Herzegovina – 13 October 2024 (9/10)
Cozy, clean apartment with most equipment you need.
What could be improved: Missing basic kitchen utensils like spoons/forks.Exceptional – Levon from Armenia – 22 August 2024 (10/10)
Pretty much everything was great. Clean, good location, good facilities. I have no complaints 👍
Very good, we loved it 🙂 – Đurović from Serbia – 22 July 2024 (10/10)
It was aesthetic. The kitchen was very well equipped (toaster, microwave, stove, oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator and freezer). It has a compartment with cleaning supplies and also has an ironing board. Pam supermarket is close and good equipped.
What could be improved: We had to buy hand soap and a dishwashing sponge, but you can find it both under 1€ in stores. It was all good – John from Australia – 6 July 2024 (8/10)
Great location, clean
What could be improved: Smell of perfume or scents in the room is too muchGood – Struan from United Kingdom – 19 May 2024 (7/10)
Bed was very comfortable. I like how breakfast pastries were left for us and how there were all the necessary kitchen essentials to cook and eat. The TV had netflix and was big which was a bonus.
What could be improved: The bathroom was a bit unclean. This was a lovely place to stay and excellent value for money. – Grace from United Kingdom – 15 May 2024 (7/10)
The property was clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant weekend away. The location was great, just down the street from some lovely restaurants and bakeries and close to the trolleybus line to the train station.
What could be improved: Access upon arrival was a little stressful as we couldn’t figure out how to get into the apartment complex, and in the end only got in because someone came out shortly after we arrived.
