You’re a five-minute walk from the main train station, which is incredibly handy if you’re doing day trips. Plus, there are some genuinely good local spots around here that most tourists never find. The Indian and Eritrean restaurants nearby are fantastic, and way more interesting than the touristy places near the Duomo.

Practical Matters

The 7.6 rating seems about right to me. This isn’t a place that’ll wow you with amenities — there’s no spa or fancy restaurant downstairs. But the basics work well: decent Wi-Fi, hot water that actually stays hot, and surprisingly good soundproofing considering we’re in the middle of Milan. Parking isn’t included, which is pretty standard for this area, but there are options nearby if you’re driving (though honestly, why would you drive in Milan?).

But if you want to experience Milan more like a local — cooking your own breakfast, exploring a real neighborhood, having space to spread out after long days of sightseeing — then Porta Venezia Charme Apartment actually delivers on its promise. The apartment setup gives you flexibility that regular hotels can’t match, and the location, while not glamorous, connects you to the rest of the city efficiently.   What could be improved: Could I ask for the renumeration cause of the damages, that I faced during my staying in the flat. The room was flooded. Water was pouring from the ceiling. Clothes and shoes were soaked. Since I had to participate in the Anatomage company exhibition the next day, I had to buy new clothes. I had to clean up afterwards and dry the flooded shoes. All night the drops were falling in the spots and I was not able to sleep.
  I hope the flat owner can pay back my loses.

  Location was amazing and house was very spacious. Taking everything into consideration, this place was very much value for money.
  
  What could be improved: The basics were clean (floors, towels, sheets and showers etc.), however, it was clear that not much attention was given to cleaning, because there was dirt that had gathered in various corners. We also came across the cupboard in the kitchen where the cleaning materials and the hoover was being stored, and it looked like it had not been used in a long time. Additionally, not much attention had been given to the smaller details, like there were no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, or anywhere in the shower to place shampoos etc.
