PrimoPiano – Brenta Overview

First Impressions

PrimoPiano – Brenta sits on a tree-lined street in the Ripamonti Corvetto area, and honestly, it’s one of those places that surprises you. The building itself has that classic Milanese apartment-style architecture — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming. When I first walked in, I appreciated how the reception area felt more like stepping into someone’s well-designed home rather than a typical hotel lobby.

Location & Neighborhood

Look, I’ll be straight with you — this isn’t central Milan, but that’s actually part of its charm. The Corvetto area has this authentic, lived-in feel that you don’t get near the Duomo. You’re about a 15-minute metro ride from the historic center, and the Brenta metro station is practically around the corner. What I really liked was having actual Milanese cafes and family-run trattorias within walking distance, places where locals grab their morning cornetto without any tourist markup.

The Room

The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for what you’d expect from a three-star place in Milan. The design leans modern without trying too hard — clean lines, decent lighting, and a comfortable bed that didn’t leave me tossing and turning. The bathroom was compact but functional, with good water pressure (which, trust me, isn’t always a given in older Milan buildings). There’s air conditioning that actually works, which becomes pretty important during those sticky summer months.

Daily Life at the Hotel

The staff here genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing — they’ll chat with you about the best route to wherever you’re heading, and they actually know the neighborhood. Breakfast is served in a bright little space that feels more like a neighborhood café than a hotel dining room. It’s nothing elaborate, but the coffee is proper Italian quality, and they have fresh pastries that honestly beat what you’ll find at most places twice the price. There’s also parking available, which is basically gold in Milan.

Why Guests Love It

What makes PrimoPiano – Brenta work is that it doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, comfortable base for exploring Milan without the premium you pay for being in the absolute center. You get a real sense of how Milanese people actually live, plus you can walk to some excellent local spots that most tourists never discover. The value is genuinely good — you’re getting clean, comfortable accommodation with helpful service at a price that won’t make you wince when you check your credit card statement.

Reviews of PrimoPiano – Brenta

  • Great apartment – Evan from United Kingdom – 12 November 2025 (10/10)

Great value for money, secure and safe. Would recommend great option if staying in Milan

  • Poor – Rozalin from United Arab Emirates – 16 August 2025 (3/10)

I liked the location of the apartment

What could be improved: Most of all things i did not like is the guest service, who are as far as it gets from professional, they were absolutely rude and disrespectful to us when we highlighted that the fans the facility has are not good enough( actually useless).
The facility over all is not well maintained, water kept running all day & night on the toilet as if the flush handle does not close properly.
Additionally it had a wall painting ( drawing) hanging over the main bed which fell on my baby in the middle of the night.

  • Overall, place itself is good and locations fine. The organisation on easy check in could be better. Cleaning was done m – Aruzhan from Italy – 14 May 2025 (6/10)

The apartment itself was well equipped with all necessities needed for the stay. Location is also fine, metro nearby, can easily get to city centre. Beds were comfortable.

What could be improved: The checking in process was super complicated, seemed like so many steps were unnecessary when you want to relax on the holiday. After completing the quest of getting into the apartment, the keys weren’t there, turned out the cleaning worker was cleaning at that time. It was 15:00 pm, when I mentioned that we’ll check in since 14:00. I can forgive it to the fact that maybe it was a poor communication from my side for not letting them know about check in time again, but as I said never I had to experience so much work just to get in. I was expecting that the place has to be tidy before the 14;00 anyway.

  • overall it was a nice stay and a very clean place with a perfect location – Gerald from Albania – 11 May 2025 (8/10)

It was very clean and it had a perfect location near coffee shops and the metro, the buildings were quiet and nice

What could be improved: the bathroom had no lights expect natural lights which obviously dont work during the night time and the kitchen was not spacious enough to feel comfortable

  • Comfort is possible even on the ground floor – Edel_mann7 from Austria – 2 May 2025 (8/10)

    Good stay for a sleepover
24/7 supermarket is in a 10 minutes walk.

  • Poor – Sammy from United Kingdom – 9 September 2024 (3/10)

    Good location

What could be improved: Ant’s everywhere, weird men hanging outside the front door, toilet was basically broken

  • Our five-day stay was extremely uncomfortable due to the unbearable heat and lack of adequate cooling, unresponsive hos – Jaroslaw from Poland – 25 July 2024 (1/10)

    Location only

What could be improved: I recently stayed in this apartment in Milan, and my experience was far from satisfactory. The biggest issue was the extreme heat, with no air conditioning or fans initially provided. Upon request, we received a fan, but it was old and barely worked, offering almost no relief. This made our five-day stay quite miserable and uncomfortable.NO proper ventilation system, limited cupboards, no mirror except toilet 😞

Contacting the host was nearly impossible, as calls went unanswered all the time, adding to the frustration. Instructions provided for entering the apprtment was wrong so with the help of people's there able to enter in permises . The apartment had a very, unpleasant smell and a very small, congested kitchen. There was no dishwasher, and the washing machine was smelly and ineffective. Additionally, there was no place to hang clothes after washing.

Overall, the lack of basic amenities and poor host responsiveness made this stay highly disappointing. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Milan.

  • Horrendous experience. – Rhiannon from United Kingdom – 18 June 2024 (1/10)

There was enough space inside and wifi was included.

What could be improved: Genuinely shocking costumer support from the hosts. We were locked out of the apartment all night with nobody answering our calls or emails due to our hosts failing to give us the right access code for that night due to work being done in the building (we are assuming, since we still haven’t been given a direct answer and nobody around us could speak enough English to explain. There was a notice in Italian which we managed to use google translate for, which we believe could explain the issue) and left to walk for miles in search of somewhere safe and dry to stay, until around 5 in the morning when we FINALLY found somewhere that could have us by the airport (everywhere else was fully booked – even hostels). I have never felt as unsafe as I did being out on the street in an unfamiliar city being preyed on by groups of men and there being quite literally nobody around to help. It added an extra €470 to our trip for a few hours’ safety – something the hosts have failed to acknowledge in the month since returning. Booking.com are no help either at getting any kind of compensation. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re comfortable sleeping on the streets if there’s an issue, because nobody will make any effort to rectify it.
Also, ants. Ants EVERYWHERE. In the bed, on the surfaces, the floor, every single room. Swarms of them. I swear we had ants on us for days after returning home.

  • Exceptional – Olga from Russia – 4 June 2024 (10/10)

    Just perfect!

  • Zoo – Nadezhda from France – 17 February 2024 (3/10)

What could be improved: There was a big cockroach in the apartment that fell on our head. We didn’t not get any compensation or a payback for that. the host didn't care that cockroaches carry different infections of different types and severity. I don't even say anything about seeing a huge cockroach in an apartment, because it's terribly unpleasant. Thank God he wasn't on the bed. The host said that "you will agree that we have not violated anything in particular, so what if there is a cockroach? In general, the apartment was clean." We are disappointed with this response.
